~Kyoko~

Kyoko Date is the first 100% virtual
star: the "Virtual Idol". She has been
created by engineers and designers
of the top Japanese model agency,
HoriPro. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?
Let's take a closer look:

In the beginning, there was the DK-96
project. This project was intended to create a
computer generated girl that would be
extremely realistic.

And so, Kyoko Date was born. She is made
of 40,000 polygons, 10 people worked on her
face alone, and she fulfilled the aim of the
DK-96 project. The first time I saw a
screenshot of her, I thought it was a photo!

Her main computer graphics designers are
Tatsuya Kosaka, Toshihiro Aramaki and
Tomoya Tomadechi.

Kyoko likes manga and drawing. Her favourite
actors are Christian Slater and Kyozo Nagazuka.
She is a singer, but also works part-time in a
fast-food restaurant. She also speaks some
foreign languages.

Her parents have a restaurant in Tokyo (but I
haven't been able to find out if she works there.)
She has a sister who is one year younger than she.

Her biography is about to be published (in
Japanese, unfortunately), and she has already
released a series of singles.
