    • FOR THOSE WHO ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE GAME FREEZING AFTER ANZU ASKS FOR A REFERENCE...
    Reference codes are NOT needed to play the game. If the game freezes up after you hit Yes/No, or put in a reference, it's because you don't have enough current memory freed up to play the game. This game is a memory HOG, as it is poorly programmed, and loads far too much information into memory. A solution is to close down some of the other programs you have running in memory (like the little icons to the lower-right of Windows, to the immediate left of the clock). If closing down almost all other programs STILL doesn't work, then I'm sorry, but you don't have enough memory (RAM) to play the game.
    I will no longer be responding to e-mails inquiring on this problem, so if you see someone that is having this problem, please tell them to read this notice.

  • What is it?
  • Edo's Yu-Gi-Oh! PC game is a Duel Monsters card game, written in Visual Basic for the Windows 95 or higher operating system. The game will seek to emulate the actual card game more faithfully than the Gameboy Color versions of the game. In it, the player will be able to meet the characters made famous in the comic, and duel them for cards. There will also be several original characters and cards created specifically for this game. The Gameboy Advance games (Duel Monsters 5 and 6) will give you a more "faithful" adaption of the DM game, but this game is far faster.

  • Is the game finished?
  • Define "finished." Is the game 100% complete? No. There is some art and card effects that are currently missing. Otherwise, it is 95% playable.

  • How many cards are in it?
  • Currently, there are over 1100 cards in the game. This total will more-than-likely be increased to over 1500 as the game continues.

  • How many players is it?
  • It is only a one-player game. Yes, that stinks, as you won't be able to play people across the Internet. This position was adopted because if this game was for more than one player, people would get this version instead of an official game. That would lead to this program being shut down. You don't want that to happen, now do you?

  • Where can I download it?
  • Take a look at the instructions near the top of this page.

  • If I have my own site, could I upload the game?
  • Sure, be my guest. The problem is bandwidth. If you can deal with X number downloading it at a time, have at it.

  • What about updates?
  • Updates will be linked on this page, in the Updates section.

  • Do you need help?
  • Sorry, but no. I am programming it all on my own. It will be ready whenever I finish it. This programming takes a back-seat to my job and personal life.

    • --=== Basic Game Download ===--

    NOTICE! If you aren't very computer literate, I ask that you DO NOT download this game. It often takes a great deal of effort to get the game running for new players of the game. In other words, 90% of the time, new users will NOT be able to download, extract and play this game right off of the bat.

    The link in this section is the "basic" download of the game. The download will allow you to play the game with just the two files here. The files are also very small, only about 1.4 megabytes total.

    The reason that the download is so small is that the game as been altered to allow you to play the game without the need for almost every card and character picture.

    Before downloading, PLEASE read through ALL of the following thread in the message board section. YES, READ THROUGH ALL TEN+ PAGES OF IT.

    [UPDATE] New Game Version 10/25/04

    There is a lot of information in thread post that will answer almost every one of your problems with the new version. I CANNOT help with problems that have answers that are contained in that post; that's the reason the post is there -- for you to read it, and get your answer immediately, rather than writing me and never getting an answer, or waiting for a LONG time to get an answer from me.

    NOTICE! Some people have reported that the Download links are not working. You MUST Left-Click the links, rather than "Right-Click -> Save As". Also, it would be a good idea to disable any download managers that you have running (GetRight, etc.). These are Stormpages "policies", so I have no control over them. Some have also reported that RealOne also interferes with downloading, so you might want to disable that as well. I cannot confirm that, however. It has been noted that some Virus-scanning programs interfere with the download. If you are concerned about Viruses, disable the scanner first, then re-enable it and scan the file. Finally, it has ALSO been reported that Firewalls ALSO interfere with the download. Disable it (if you have one) before downloading, then re-enable after you do.

    The following two files are the basic download for the game, which is version 10/25/04. You can play the game with just these two files. Use WinZIP or Unrar to extract/decompress the files to the same folder/directory. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO UPDATE TO THIS VERSION BECAUSE YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS VERSION, DOWNLOAD THE FILES IN THE *UPDATES* SECTION.
  • File 1 of 3: yug1025a.zip

  • File 3 of 3: yug1025c.zip
    • If you are still having problems extracting the two files above, place both of them in one folder, then download the two following files to that same folder. Once you have downloaded both of them to that same folder, click on the EYUGIINS.BAT file. This will automatically create a folder on your hard drive called C:\GAMES\EDOYUGI, and it will extract the files to that folder.
  • File 1 of 2: eyugiins.txt Rename this file to EYUGIINS.BAT
  • File 2 of 2: pkunzip.zip Rename this file to PKUNZIP.EXE
    • The following files are an archive for pictures in the new version. You must extract them to the CARD_PIC folder in the folder where you put the game.
  • No new pictures for this version


    • Runtime files. If you are having problems starting the game, try and download the following and extract/decompress them to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder. If you already have the files, then skip over them during the extraction/decompression process (don't overwrite). You will need to re-boot your computer after the files are placed in that directory, so that your system recognizes them.

    • If you are having a hard time with the COMCTL32.OCX file, you can download a file to install it directly from the Microsoft site. Click this sentence for the download page.
    --=== Alternate Download Spots ===--

    Here is an alternate download spot for the main game. I cannot gauge what happens with the downloads, so perhaps you may be able to use it:

    Look at the top of the window of the title screen in your game. If it is not the latest version as located below, please download it to the directory you put the game in, and unzip it using WinZip or UnRar. Please note that these files are NOT the full game! These are only updates to the main program. The game WILL NOT WORK if you try and use these files.
