Battle 161: Very Confined Duel!!
Yugi accepts Pandora's challenge, and he is let into the
basement, into "Pandora's Room". After they finish preparing the
cards, Pandora pulls a chain, which locks both player's feet from
moving. Two saw blades protrude from the side of the area. The
blades' positions correspond to the Life Points of the players.
When a player reaches 0 LP, his feet are cut from under him.
Yugi places a card, starts with "Magnet Warrior Alpha"
(4/1400/1700) in Defense mode. Pandora plays "Dark Clown Rijon"
(4/1300/1500) in Defense mode.
Yugi announces that he is using "Hand Obliteration" (Each player
discards his or her hand, then draws the same number that was
discarded). Pandora discards his hand (among them one of his
Black Magicians).
Yugi then activates his placed card, "Brain Control", gaining
control of Rijon. He sacrifices it and Alpha to summon "Black
Magician (6/2500/2100).
Battle 162: Magician Battle!!
Yugi attacks Pandora directly (P's LP: 1500). One of the blades
gets closer to Pandora. Pandora summons a monster (its
statistics and name are not given), then places a card.
Yugi summons "Magnet Warrior Beta" (4/1700/1600). Pandora then
activates his placed card, "Black Magic Coffin", sacrificing
Yugi's Beta and his other monster to summon the "Black Magician"
in his Cemetery.
Yugi places two cards, along with Pandora. He plays
"Guillotine", trapping Yugi's Magician. Just before the blade
hits, Yugi plays "Magic Silk Hats", hiding the Magician and the
blade cuts nothing but an empty hat.
Pandora then activates "A Thousand Knives", trying to destroy all
of Yugi's monsters. Yugi quickly activates "Cancel Magic",
destroying all of the effects (knives and hats). Pandora then
attacks Yugi's Magician, destroying both. Then both
simultaneously activate "Raise Dead", bringing both Magicians
back into play.
Battle 163: Crucifix Trap!!
One of Pandora's Trump cards has failed. Yugi says that he
believes in his Black Magician and his Magician notices.
Pandora places a card, then ends his turn. Yugi places two
cards. Pandora then activates one of his card, "Hand Of
Darkness" to consume Yugi's Magician. Yugi activates his
"Reflective Mirror" to redirect the magic, but Pandora activates
"Crucifix", containing Yugi's Magician.
Pandora then attacks Yugi directly (Y's LP: 1500).
Yugi plays "Big Shield Guarder" (4/1/2600) in Defense mode.
Pandora draws and summons "Killer Doll" (4/1600/1700). He then
plays "Ectoplasma", allowing him to sacrifice up to two of his
monsters to do half of its attack in damage to his opponent.
Yugi is appalled that Pandora would sacrifice his monsters in
that way, but Pandora says that the souls of monsters are cheap.
His Black Magician notices.
He sacrifices the Doll (Y's LP: 700). Then he sacrifices his
Black Magician. Yugi says: "Pandora, your servant is crying..."
Just as the ectoplasma hits, Yugi's Black Magician turns itself
into ectoplasma and deflects the attack.
Battle 164: The Calling Soul!!
Pandora places a card, then Yugi summons "Gazeru" (4/1500/1200).
Pandora then activates his Trap card, "Nightmare Scales" where
both players must equalize the number of monsters that they have
on the Field. Pandora has none, so all of Yugi's monsters are
destroyed.
Pandora then plays "Black Magician Curtain", allowing each player
to pay half of their Life Points to summon a Black Magician from
his or her deck. Pandora summons a Black Magician (P's LP: 750).
He then plays "Magic-Sealing Arrows" to prevent Yugi from using
his placed cards.
The Black Magician attacks, when Yugi uses the "Black Magician
Curtain" (Y's LP: 350). Pandora asks Yugi what he's doing, since
he only has one Black Magician in his deck. Yugi agrees, but
tells him that there is another monster in the world of Magic and
Wizards that has the power of black magic. He summons the "Black
Magician Girl" (6/2000/1700).
Pandora sees that its attack is lower that his Magician's, so he
attacks. Both appear to be destroyed, but only Pandora's is
destroyed. Yugi then tells him that the Girl's attack is
increased by 500 for each Black Magician in the Cemetery.
Pandora still can't understand, since Yugi has only one Magician
in his Cemetery. He then sees his own Magician siding with
Yugi's, and Yugi reveals that it's based upon the number of Black
Magicians in both Cemeteries.
He attacks and defeats Pandora.
Battle 165: Imprints of a Memory
Yugi has won, and the blade starts to go for Pandora's legs. The
box under Yugi's feat opens, revealing a key and puzzle card.
However, Pandora has a key hidden in his sleeve just in case he
lost. However, Malik uses his powers to make Pandora think that
the key has disappeared. The normal Yugi takes over, and quickly
unlocks Pandora's leg braces before his legs are cut off.
Malik tells Yugi that he was the one that killed his father, and
that the one who gathers all three God cards will become the new
Pharaoh and gain ultimate power. He then says that he will be
that one. He also tells him that one of the Rare Hunters in the
city has the "Saint Dragon of Osiris" card. Malik then leaves
Pandora's body.
Battle 166: Eyes that See the Future
Anzu, Bakura and Sugoroku are in the park. Honda and Otogi have
gone down town to the hospital where Shizuka is.
The trio notices a pantomime who makes no movements at all...and
Bakura remarks to himself that it looked just like a doll.
Jounouchi is eating in a restaurant, but his Duel Disk is
unintentionally hitting the other patrons. The owner tells him
to take it off, so Jounouchi puts it on a table behind him. A
kid then takes the disk and runs out of the restaurant.
Jounouchi quickly pays and catches the kid.
The kid told him that Insector Haga had stolen all of his cards.
Jounouchi tells him that he will fight Haga.
Later, the kid meets with Haga, telling him that he put two
Parasite cards in Jounouchi's deck, just like Haga had asked.
The kid is given a card, but it's the "Cockroach" card, and the
kid demands the rare card that he was promised. Haga simply
sprays bug spray in the kids eyes.
Jounuchi and Haga meet in the park.
Meanwhile, Honda and Otogi arrive at the hospital, and ask
Shizuka to come with them and meet her brother.
Battle 167: Smoothly!!
Jounuchi and Haga begin their duel. Jounouchi starts with
"Panther Warrior" (4/2000/1600). Haga places a card, then plays
"Poison-Face Ladybug" (4/500/1200) in Defense mode.
Jounouchi summons "Little Winguard" (4/1400/1800). The Panther
attacks and destroys the Ladybug. However, Haga gains 500 Life
Points as part of the Ladybug's effect (H's LP: 4500).
Haga plays a "Hereditary Grasshopper" (4/1000/1200) in Defense
mode.
Jounouchi draws, only to find he has drawn the "Insect Parasite"
card. It is automatically summoned to the Field and turns his
monsters into Insects. It's then the Sugoroku and Jounouchi
realize that the kid that stole Jounouchi's duel disk had
something to do with it.
Battle 168: Bugs!! Bugs!! Bugs!!
Jounouchi attempts to sacrifice them to play Psycho Shocker, but
finds that the infected monsters can't be sacrificed. He attacks
instead, but Haga activates the "Insect Barrier", preventing his
opponent's Insects from attacking.
Haga plays "Bug Spray" on his Grasshopper, destroying it.
However, as part of the Grasshopper's effect, he may summon an
insect card from his hand. He plays "Insect Queen"
(8/2200/2400). Its attack is increased by 400 for each insect in
play, bringing to a total of 3400. It attacks and destroys the
Winguard (J's LP: 2000). And as part of the Queen's effect, an
"Insect Larva" (1200/0) is created.
Jounouchi places a card and ends his turn, but Sugoroku tells him
that he forgot to put his monsters into Defense mode. The Queen
attacks the Panther, but Jounouchi activates his "Magic Arm
Shield" trap, grabbing the Insect Larva and placing it in the way
of the attack (H's LP: 2300).
Battle 169: Breaking the Net!!
Haga summons an "Army Ant" (4/500/1200). The Queen attacks the
Panther and destroys it, creating another Insect Larva.
Jounouchi draws and finds the weakness to Haga's combo. He
places the card, then summons "Iron Knight Gear Freed"
(4/1800/1600). The Parasite card attempts to infect it, but
can't. He attacks the Larva and destroys it (H's LP: 1700).
Haga plays "Ant Colony", putting ten temporary ant monsters into
play. It increases the Queen's attack to 6600. It attacks, but
Jounouchi activates the "Grave Digger" card. He uses the "Bug
Spray" on the Queen, destroying it. On Jounouchi's turn, he
attacks and defeats Haga.
Sugoroku is impressed, and realizes how far Jounouchi has come
from the beginning. Jounouchi gains the "Insect Queen" rare.
