Showing that it is not a one trick pony development company, Squaresoft has release screen shots of it's new shooter, that's right, shooter, Einhander. At first glance, Einhander looks like a standard 2D Shooter, but upon closer inspection, 3D models are used instead of 2D sprites, and the backgrounds are pre-rendered. This game should pack the same graphic wow factor that Final Fantasy VII did. The game is already looking nice by the very early screen shots. Einhander should have a more complex story line than most shooters knowing Squaresoft. Unfortunately, no release dates have been set for either a Japanese or American release.
