From the 19th Hole
Draggin' Owen about at Takapuna
Round 8
Richard and I managed to con Owen Tumulty, (one of our workmates), into having a quick 19 holes around Takapuna Golf Course.
Owen plays off a handicap, (12 or 18 or something like that), and we figured that we could make him drop a few shots if only from boredom at waiting for Richard and I to extract ourselves from the various bunkers and trees lining the fairways.
I don't think I helped Richard's game as he was teeing off by mentioning that he had a cute butt. Richard naturally sliced and Owen and I were on the green in 2 and off with a par each. Richard faltered after the tee shot and ended with 7. From there the scorecard tells it all....

All in all a pleasant day untill I struck the 6th hole, (or should I say the nasty little rocks on the front of the green), and bounced all over the place.
Richards game was marked by a zig-zag approach down the 7th and through the trees. Richard also got his revenge on the 18th when I was due to tee off. In a sotto voice, almost to quiet to hear, he said "Go on. F*** it up you bastard". Subliminaly my karma crept up and pushed by ball a little lower on the tee which I managed to top and hook toward the trees. Because he used swearwords Richard's karma bit him on the ass, causing Richard to hook to the other side of the fairway, (he's lefthanded you see).
Owen meanwhile continues to charge down the middle of the fairway. Our plan didn't succeed, to the point that Owen has suggested that we go out and play together again.
