While Ninja may resemble Tomb Raider, the developers assert that this is in no way a sequel. The emphasis on this title is action and not so much exploration. According to Core, there will be enemies on almost every screen.
Consisting of over ten levels, Ninja will have indoor and outdoor levels and some with a combination of the two. The game still has a dynamic camera, but due to the emphasis on action, players will not have control over it.
The game is being developed first on Saturn with a PlayStation
version to follow. The Saturn engine able to perform excellent
lightsourcing and true transparencies. Core has been able to use
transparencies as an amazing effect in some of the river scenes.
In one particular area, enemies will be swimming beneath the
water, and able to jump through to get to your character. The
effect is also used in a number of the special magical attacks of
both enemies and your character.
