Tolkien's Army of Angmar: Genesis Mud

Listen to music while you examine the graveyard

Without a doubt, this is one of the most creepy areas in the entire fortress of the former Army of Angmar. Underneath your very feet lie the bones of many of the enemies of the former Army, tossed into mass graves after the very marrow had been sucked out of them.

You dread to think what was done to the corpses of enemies of the Army. The fact that this graveyard lies just outside the mess-hall leaves little doubt as to the fate of enemies captured or slain. Tossed into a pot or roasted over an open fire, the corpses of enemies of the Army inevitably turned up being served in the mess.

A mass grave with a single headstone marks the location of the bones of all of those slain by the guards of the Army of Angmar. Many of these unfortunate enemies were slain in a single encounter, when a party led by Blake was massacred. The headstone has the following engraved on it:

Another engraved tombstone

A second mass grave with a single headstone marks the location of all of those recorded as having been slain by the soldiers and allies of the Army of Angmar. This grave swelled considerably during the war between the Alliance and the Army, and many of the bones in this grave remain unidentified to this day. The headstone on this mass burial site has the following etched into it:

If you can identify any of the bones that lie in either of the graves, you can etch their names on the head stone , so that they may be remembered always. Stories have been written about some of these deaths, and these may be found in the library.

Once you have had your fill of wandering through a haunted graveyard, you can head west, into the mess hall of the Army.

Alternatively, if you know where you wish to head within the halls, you may consult your site map to take you straight there.
