![]() This deserted room bares little resemblance to the mighty communications hub that it used to be, when the Army of Angmar was exerting its dominance over the lands of Genesis. In the former times of glory for the Army, this room was filled with noise and bustle, as messengers were despatched carrying messages and orders for soldiers of the Army and their allies. The cooing of pigeons, contained within crates, used to add to the cacophony of sound and activity in this room. There is still an almost overpowering smell of feathers and pigeon droppings, which the stale air moving listlessly about the room does little to dispel. The furniture in the former post office is now wrecked, almost without exception, destroyed in a wanton fit of vandalism either by the soldiers of the Army, when they retreated, or by adventurers like yourself. A recent addition to the room, contrasting with the dust and desolation that abounds elsewhere, is a crate of carrier pigeons that have been left behind by adventurers like yourself who wish to be contactable. Some of the pigeons look old and tattered, as if they have been left here for a long time, and it is quite possible that you will find a pigeon that will no longer be able to reach its master. In this case, please leave a note, so that these old pigeons can be retired. You can look through this crate of pigeons, and if you feel like it, send a message to the pigeon's owner. If you have brought a pigeon of your own that you would like to add to the crate, you can place your pigeon in the crate, leaving a note with your name and where the pigeon can reach you.
