The Army has a fixed structure, so there are only a certain number of positions open for each rank. This number depends on the number of soldiers of lower rank within the Army.

Note that there is always at least one position available.

If you want to reach a certain rank within the Army, you must fulfil two conditions:

• You must be able enough to qualify for the position.
• You must be better than others who also qualify for the position.

From time to time, the performance of every soldier is subject to evaluation, and ranks are then reassigned according to the performance of each soldier.

As a consequence of this evaluation, certain soldiers may be demoted, while other soldiers may be rewarded with promotions. Through this system of rewards and punishments, a strong and capable Army is maintained, with soldiers vying for the praise of their officers.

Know this: If you perform well, you will be rewarded! If you let down the Dark Lord, do not expect your actions to be ignored.
