NINTENDO64 Games:
Quick Review
WaveRace 64
Developer:Nintendo
All of the new race games out there this is definately one of the best. The smooth handling and great graphics make this a must have for any Nintendo 64 owner. It been a while since a new kind of race game has come out and it probably won't be long before it is widely copied. Of course none will have the sheer brillance that this title possessed. It is also a great game because of it's split screen so you can play with a friend so the replay ability is definately high. This game is going to be another Nintendo classic.
Legend of Zelda 64
Developer: Nintendo
Still little is known about this game because it has only been seen on video tapes. While Zelda was originally planned for the 64DD, Zelda will however arrive as a cartridge only. While this is a shock to many people, it will allow more people to enjoy the Zelda without having to spend $100 dollars for an add on. From pictures and QuickTime Movies this game looks awesome. For the first time we finally get to see Link in 3D. The fews scenes show Link battling a skeleton. The scenes look different from the last time Link was shown which was him battling a knight. This game is expected to come about around mid to late 1997 and expect an expansion or sequel to come soon for the 64DD.

Star Wars:Shadows of the Empire
Developer: LucasArts
This game take place between Empire Strike Back and Return of the Jedi. In this game you play as Dash Render on a mission to protect Luke from Xizor. While you don't get to play as one of the well-known Star Wars character a few show up throughout the game. This game has taken a lot of heat because it falls into that "wide but shallow" catagory, this is really a beautiful game. The graphics and the game play are outstanding. Even the music is quite unbelieveable for a cartridge game. Even though it is a good game, the game is not without its faults. The control of Dash is less than spectacular and many of the levels are nowhere near as fun as the first level is. The game might be fairly easy to beat but it is definately a game worth playing.
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Developer:Midway
This is definately not one of the best games I have played for the nintendo 64. The control was not that great and the Playstation version of the game had far more controllable characters then the N64 version did. After a little while of playing, there is just no push to want to continue the game. The game tires fast and the gameplay is less than spectacular. The pull that brought I and millions of people to the Mortal Kombat game seems to be forever lost.
Super Mario 64
Develor: Nintendo
I can some in up in one phrase, "The best game ever made." I am a lover of Mario type games but this game is unlike any Mario game or any game for that matter. Mario 64 shows beautifully the performance that the N64 is capable of. I agree with all magazines when they rank this game as number 1. For those people who have never played, it is about time for them to at least head on over to a store or a friends house to try it out. I guarentee you will not be disapointed. If you do not own a Nintendo 64 I recommend buying one just to play this game. I know it might seem that I am going on about the game but if you have played the game you would understand.
