Introduction

Congratulations on the completion of your new game! (Or web site, game utility or cheat.) Now, you may be asking yourself:

1. Who are these guys? If this is your question, read the page relating to the MPG Team.
2. Why are they offering this superb and totally free service? Simple. Long ago, members of the still unformed MPG Team discovered a major lack of 2 player computer games. 3 or more player games were even harder to find. Of course, a lot of the new games offer networking or over the modem battles, but it's such a pain to get that kind of equipment together we just don't see people doing it. And like Nintendo obviously discovered with the Ultra 64:

More Players = More Excitement = More Money!

3. So why do you want me to advertise on your site? Well, although we'd really like to, we won't be able to find every multi-player game out there, quality or elsewise. So naturally we thought of a clever ploy to have game writers do some of the work for us, finding the site and writing a advertisement.

4. Who are you looking for to advertise on your site? Well, anyone who's written a quality game for two or more players to play at the same time will do, but we're especially looking for that spirited individual who found how boring playing alone could be, and wrote a nice lil' game to fix that.

The Deal

Interested in the proposition but looking for the facts? That's what this section is dedicated to.

Rules of Advertising

All of the programs/sites on our pages have to fill a few specialized guidelines created to keep quality high for our visitors. These rules are as follows:

1. Game must be in PC format. This is mainly because the MPG Team has only PC-compatible computers at present.
2. The game must be 100% of original material. Sure, you can use any of the old cliche ideas (save the princess/family/world as we know it), but creating a game called 'Super Mario XXIV' isn't right because, well, umm, it's illegal.
3. Game must fill either the shareware or freeware format. It comes to mind to wonder why you would distribute your own commercial game, but hey...
4. The program must have some type of support. Here we're talking about having some type of help document for players to read which helps understand how to play. On-line support is also a great addition. We can not and will not support 'vaporware'.
5. The ad may not have any type of foul language and/or insults directed at any specific group or individual. If somehow this type of ad gets past our safechecks, the MPG Team is in no way at fault for anything the ad may imply or declare.

What to Do

Now that you've decided to advertise your game on our site, a sample of the layout for both types of advertising are available for view.

Graphical Advertising

Graphical advertisments have the distinct advantage of making a surreal statement about the subject they are based upon. Graphics designed for the MPG Chasm should be in this format:

Width: 75 pixels.
Length: 84 pixels.
Graphics must be in either *.GIF or *.JPG format in order for best compatibility with most common Web browsers.
Graphics may have transparent backgrounds, as long as they are saved in a *.GIF format.
Graphic creation services are currently unavailable, but may become possible as Team manpower increases.

Examples:
Download a sample *.GIF ad.
Ad Example

Text Advertising

Width: A text advertisement is limited to a maximum of 110 characters.
Length: As above.

Examples:

Blow away a evil scientist and would-be world conquerer or two in a spiffy new heli in Cyber Chopper 3: Operation Vulture. Or just duel a friend.

Where to Upload

Advertisements may be processed online using the online advertisement form. In the case of graphics please mail them uncompressed to us. The e-mail will be processed as quickly as possible.
