Path

Soaring upon moonlit skies with serrated wings of steel,
I long to be,
Taken back to the olden times,
When one was free,
In a realm where evil lurks, good can be found,
In a realm of roving madness,
I live in chaos and confusion,
Eternally enslaved to disorder and mistrust,
I live on in the books, they tell my tale,
Show the sign and be set free, wear the cloak of darkness,
It fits one such person,
I knew long ago,
What I know now, and it can never be forgotten,
No power can tame the haunted soul, no cage contain it,
No sword can harm it, nor force destroy it,
It goes on forever, hating in a realm of love,

Set free only to roam,
One must find a purpose,
As black as ones own soul, and as free,
Sift through the depths of time, that is where i hide,
Coward afraid to live, for fear of hurting those who die,
Seas of hell bent ice I have crossed to get here,
Oceans of time can not keep me,
Where the angelical fear to tread is my playground,
Frozen north, burning south, lost and wandering west,
Always following the sunset, never turn around to see the sun rise,
If one could be free to choose,
What path would I choose for me?
