Balance

Balance of power’s eternal strife,
Lasting through an infinity of life.
Gnawing at each others’ might,
Waiting for eternal night,
Trying to kill all things that stand
Between them and promised land.
Extending past all mortal thought,
Past all things mortals have wrought,
Opposing forces are at war;
The strife continues evermore.
