Q: When I double click
on Waypoint.exe, nothing happens.
A: The command line in the
shortcut must include the following: Waypoint.exe Waypoint.w3.
The W3 file contains the actual program code necessary to
communicate with the GPS. The program will not run with an
improperly formed command line.
Q: I have a lot of
waypoints and trackpoints and I get a WS FULL (out of memory)
error. How can I utilize more memory?
A: In the Waypoint.ini
file contained in the directory where Windows 95 is installed,
add the following lines:
[config]
wssize=3000000
This will reserve 3 Mb of ram for Waypoint+. This number can be
changed to what ever size is needed to handle the number of data
points required.
Q: What does the
Waypoint icon (the inverted triangle) symbolize?
A: The inverted triangle
is called a Del, Del Dot is the mathematical symbol for
Divergence. The Divergence of a function, say the Divergence of
Magnetic Field is the "Flux" of that function. My
programs are always in a state of Flux. Thus the Icon. Truth! BH
