in memory.....

.....no words can describe the shock of the events that have taken place over the last week. there's no way i can write anything cohesive about it, so i'm coming from the heart...and my heart is angry. some cold-blooded bastards hijacked four planes. One crashed in western PA, another into the Pentagon and two ran head on into the Twin Towers, starting a chain reaction that has left 450 tons of rubble, more than 5000 casualties, and a crater the size of a football stadium in what was the financial center of America. As I step out on the bridge next to my house, i see clouds of smoke where the world trade center used to be. america isn't a perfect country, but this is totally uncalled for. i'm really scared, because this is only the beginning...

you were part of me,
  i took you for granted
but now you are gone,
and all i can do is pray
for safety, health,
  and well being of
    those who are trapped
      ...victims and families
vengeance, who cares???
there are no heroes in war
    only more casualties
...i guess we must fight
  to defend freedom
    and to avenge those
      who we hold close
        ...in memory
