As the player starts out in the sport, the general local
is along the West Coast of the U.S.A. outline, where bets very,
depending on how many seconds it takes to cross the set finish
line. For example (using figures gathered by "Car Craft. December
1996" Issue), $50-$200 for 12.50-15.00-second [quarter mile]
cars. $200-$1,500 for 9.90-12.00-second cars. As you build up
your car for faster speed, you progress on to higher wagering
races. Which means your progress towards the East Coast is your
ultimate goal where (again giving credit to "Car Craft. December
1996" Issue) values of races can go from 2,000 to 5,000 for cars
with 8.50-10.50 second capacity. Some races have even been known
to be worth as much as $10,000 a race.
