Juggernaut:
Even
though this bipedal mech resembles the original Titan Walker from
Tiberian Sun, the Juggernaut's role is to provide long-range support
fire, not to engage in close-range fighting. In designing the
Juggernaut, GDI engineers borrowed the naval artillery technology
from Red Alert and blended it with the Titan's delivery system.
The Juggernaut can soften up enemy fortifications from a very
long range but suffers from a slow rate of fire, deployment time,
and walking speed.

Mobile
War Factory:
The
mobile war factory is one of the most influential units to be
added into Firestorm. Though it's extremely slow and costly, the
new unit lets you manufacture additional units away from your
base, in essence giving you a mobile staging area for quick strikes
or flank attacks against enemy forces. It's particularly effective
when coupled with a few orca carry-alls.

Mobile
EMP Cannon:
While
the electromagnetic pulse cannon in Tiberian Sun was used as a
defensive measure, Firestorm's mobile variant is primarily an
offensive weapon. Like the original EMP cannon, the mobile EMP
emits a high-resonance blast that instantly incapacitates all
mechanical units within the blast's radius. However, this mobile
unit suffers from a number of drawbacks, like an effective blast
radius significantly smaller than its stationary counterpart.
The mobile EMP also requires has a long recharge rate.

Drop
Pod Control Plug:
The
infantry drop pods in Tiberian Sun were a critical, albeit unselectable,
unit in the game. The new drop pod control plug lets GDI players
call in an attack using the pods, which will deliver veteran infantry
troops anywhere on the map. Prior to doing so, the drop pods will
carpet bomb their landing area to clear the way for the troops.
The drop pod control plug is a technology addition to Tiberian
Sun's upgrade center.

Reaper:
Anyone
familiar with AD&D's Forgotten Realms novels will automatically
liken the NOD Reaper to the Drider, a creature with the torso
of a dark elf and the legs of a spider. The Reaper, CABAL's twisted
vision of Kane's Tiberium/human-evolution plans, can easily traverse
almost any type of terrain and is equipped with an antipersonnel
net and a pair of cluster-missile cannons, making it deadly against
GDI infantry.
|
|
Fist
of Nod:
The
Fist of Nod is an exact replica of the GDI's mobile war factory.
This unit will give NOD players the ability to set up a staging
area away from their base for multiple strikes against the GDI.
The Fist of Nod becomes especially effective when paired with
a stealth generator.
|
|
Limpet
Drone:
Like
the GDI limpet drone, this mine will attach itself onto any nearby
enemy vehicle and slow the vehicle's speed to an absolute crawl.
NOD players will be able to see the location and surrounding area
of a GDI unit with an attached limpet drone, which can only be
removed by using a GDI repair bay.
|

|
Mobile
Stealth Generator:
Basically
a stealth generator on wheels, this unit cloaks all NOD vehicles
and troops underneath its invisible umbrella. The mobile stealth
generator has a much smaller area of effect than its stationary
counterpart, however, and must be fully deployed in order to function
- the mobile stealth generator cannot emit a stealth field when
moving.

Elite
Cadre Soldier (single player only)
Only
available in the last single player mission of the Nod Firestorm
Campaign, these units carry a pretty powerful minigun. They are
stronger and more expensive than normal infantry, and about as
powerful as Cyborgs. They do, in fact, have the same weapon

Core
Defender (not buildable)
In
the last Nod mission of Firestorm,
CABAL's Core is guarded by this huge Cyborg, the Obelisk of Darkness,
and CABAL Obelisk (not to mention Firestorm walls, Juggernaughts,
Cyborg Reapers, and more). Anyway, this thing is almost invincible,
and although it can never be built by the player. It is a very
formidable opponent, and on top of the ridiculously high strength,
it heals itself on its own or in the presence of tiberium. It
fires a large blue laser beem (similar to the Obelisk of Light
but more powerful) so don't go near it unless absolutely neccessary!
Air attacks against it work best.
