Items in red may cause death of your character or some
irreversible effect that can prevent you from finishing the game.
It is recommended that you save your game before trying these
things and restore afterwards.
City of Tarna
- Look at the various curios, components, and plants in Kreesha's
house and the Apothecary. Also check out the titles in their
book collections.
- In the Apothecary run by the hippie, use your
tinderbox to light the hookah pipe, sit and then smoke it once, twice, and a
third time.
- By the way, that's not Corey Cole in the Apothecrary. It's one of
the programmers.
- The background music in Salim's Apothecary shop is from a Jefferson Airplane
song from the 60's about drugs. It's called 'White rabbit'.
- Find out from Rakeesh and Kreesha about their son Shakra who is
living in Silmaria.
- Encounter the funny clown from Shapeir in the Welcome Inn. Also
look for the hungry programmer from the QFG3 team.
- Watch the sunset and sunrise from your room at the inn.
- Read the hieroglyphics on the left wall in Rajah's chambers.
- Act rudely and dishonorably in Rajah's presence.
Tell him about irrelevant things, ask him questions when he is asking you
one or refuse to leave. Also try greeting him several times.
- During the Weighing of Souls in the Temple of
Sekhmet, choose obviously incorrect answers and be judged unworthy.
- Talk to everyone in the bazaar daily. Ask them about themselves and
any rumors. Often you'll be rewarded with funny stories and jokes (in
addition to useful information).
- Chat with Sanford and Son (the junk dealers) and listen to their
arguing. They even have a moose head for sale!
- Ask the Weapon Seller in the bazaar about the various weapons he
sells including the bow and arrows.
- Kalb, the meat seller in the bazaar has some really bad puns about meat..
and sometimes his rumors are kinda funny too.
- Visit the amulet seller every day to see what kinds of amulets he has
for sale. Try to buy them.
- Try the various ways of stopping the runaway thief in the bazaar. Use
offensive spells, the Calm spell, daggers or rocks, or knock the fruit
basket in front of him. Or simply run after him and chase him to the next
scene.
- Look at the various palm trees and other vegetation in Tarna, especially
at the city gates.
Simbani Village and the Savanna
- Get charged by an angry rhino in the savanna.
Pity you can't take away its' credit card! This one happens randomly
and you have to react fast enough to side step it. Otherwise you'll
be dead.
- Run into the comedy team of Stan & Ollie in the savanna. Again
this happens randomly while you are travelling in the savanna.
- Try to starve yourself once in the savanna. The awful waffle walker
will soon start chasing you around begging you to eat it. Try running away from
it or casting a flame dart at it.
- Look at the various dead monsters, both in the savanna and in the
jungle. The "dead ant" message sounds curiously like the Pink Panther
theme when spoken aloud.
- Some of the random signs that appear in the Savannah have funny messages written on them.
- Meet Arne Saknoosen while camping at night in the savanna. You
can converse with him as actually has some useful and interesting
information. Don't go looking for the ant mound though!
- Attack the bees that you spot in the savanna upon
following the honey bird.
- Visit the venomous vines several times until you see the
baby meerbat caught by them. Don't help him, but let him perish. Leave and come back
again. Now try getting close to the lone vine.
- Camp in the savanna or the jungle at night and build a fire. To do
this, select the REST icon while on the one of the overhead maps. Sleep
at night in the savanna near the fire. Be sure to put out the campfire
before leaving camp in the morning. Also try to leave in the morning
without dousing the fire. You'll get a warning from Smokey the Elephant.
- Inside your hut in the Simbani village, when no one else is around,
sit down and click the MOUTH icon upon yourself. Converse with the hut.
- When dispelling the Leopardwoman's shapechanging spell with a Dispel
potion, occasionally your Hero's eyes will bug out and his tongue will loll,
with appropriate cartoon sound effects. As far I as can tell, this happens
randomly.
Jungle
- Look at all the flora (trees, plants, bushes and vines) in the
jungle. Also notice the trees in the scene where you are about to enter the monkey village.
- Be greedy when the Guardian of the Giant Tree offers you a gem.
Take two instead.
- When you encounter a leopardman, cast Reversal and engage in a
magical duel from a distance.
As
a Mage, you can win the Spear of Death from the leopardmen by
beating their Shaman in a magical duel. Other character types don't
get to do this.
Try
various ways of loosing the Shaman Duel. If you become bored
with life and want to see a funny death message,
lose the battle with the demonic Shaman.
Thieves
too have a special task at the Leopardmen village - STEALing the
Spear of Death. Try not to succeed at burglary
(in various ways) and see what happens.
- At the monkey village, the hero will let the monkey swing playfully
from his arm, if the monkey comes close enough to him. Just wait a while
for this to happen.
Lost City
- If you try to turn back from the lost city entrance screen, you
will attacked by an Apeman. Do this a couple of times defeating the
Apeman in battle each time and pretty soon, you'll have the ground
littered with dead bodies (kinda like the Goblin hideout in QFG1).
- Take too much time to defeat the Demon Wizard
or destroying the Gate Orb. You'll be thermonuclear-blasted.
