Items in red may cause death of your character or some
irreversible effect that can prevent you from finishing the game.
It is recommended that you save your game before trying these
things and restore afterwards.
General
- Using a lot of the inventory items on yourself generates some funny responses.
These include flowers, rocks, torch, sword, dagger, piece of flint, shopping bag,
oil, garlic, broom, bones, grue goo, the rubber chicken you got from Punnybones' room,
lock pick, Thieves' toolkit, the Bonsai bush, black bird, statue, jewelry, hat,
Nikolai's locket, Rusalka's hair, humor bar, Tanya's doll, Erana's staff, stake,
hammer, and the Dark One rituals.
- Offer candy and flowers to people you meet. This includes Igor the gravedigger,
the Burgomeister (both inside and outside his office), Boris the castle gatekeeper,
Yuri the innkeeper, his wife Bella, Dr. Cranium, Nikolai, Punny Bones, Chief Thief,
Katrina, Tanya (both when she is a vampire and when she is alive), the gypsy
leader Magda.
- Giving the avocado and garlic sandwiches to characters is also sometimes funny. Try
it on Igor, Katrina (also garlic), Tanya (also garlic), Chief Thief, the Rusalka,
the gypsy leader Magda, and others.
Showing the thief sign
to various characters is often hilarious. Be sure to make your trademark symbol to
the Burgomeister, Dr. Cranium, Olga the shopkeeper, Punny Bones, Gypsy Davy, Chief
Thief, the Rusalka, Bonehead.
- Like the previous episodes, death due to starvation, exhaustion (both health and
stamina points at zero), lack of sleep produce hilarious death messages.
Town of Mordavia
- Look at the door of the General Store.
- Inside the store, look at all the merchandise. Try to get candy from the candy
jar next to the window.
- Look at all the cats in the store. Pet the cats.
- Click the HAND icon on Olga the shopkeeper. You can also
give her flowers.
- Examine the decor and furnishings of the inn. Look at the table next to Yuri.
Click the HAND icon on it.
- Try to swing from the chandelier at the inn. There is a reference to the
Brigand Cafeteria scene from QFG1. Also try the chandeliers in the
monastery and the castle.
- Kiss Bella's hand. Give her flowers and candy.
Tell
her about paladins and your adventures.
- Watch Bella lift weights. You have to rescue Igor before you get introduced
to Bella, and then sit at the inn table and order food. Now wait a couple of
minutes and you'll see this easter egg.
- There are a lot of places in town that you can try to clean up using the broom. This
includes the inn, your bedroom at the inn, Olga's shop, Dr. Cranium's laboratory, outside the
monastery, the Adventurer's Guild, the Thieves' Guild and so on.
- Click the HAND icon on Punny Bones while visiting him in
this room. Also sit in his chair.
- After you've restored the gnome's humor, visit him a couple of times in his
room for some punny jokes.
- Listen to the conversation of the three farmers (Hans, Franz, and Ivan). Their comments
on audio are often somewhat more verbose and hilarious than the text.
They joke about everything from Leonard Nimoy to Big Macs.
- Once you've rescued Tanya and proved yourself a hero, tell the townsfolk
about your adventures.
- Bribe the Burgomeister with some dough.
When Igor is missing and
the gypsy gets captured, Heroes with magic or thief skills can, in addition to
rescuing Igor, also free the gypsy prisoner from the jail in the Burgomeister's office.
This has to be done at night and before rescuing Igor as rescuing Igor first will
automatically trigger the release of the gypsy. Your skills need to be pretty high too
to successfully break in and open the jail cell.
- Wait too long to rescue Igor and the gypsy will be burned at
the stake.
- You can actually free the gypsy, but fail to rescue Igor
in time. In that case, you will see Igor's body in the cemetery, but the
game will end if you every try to confront the Burgomeister afterwards.
Try making a lot of noise, opening the door to the
Burgomeister's rooms, or staying until dawn when breaking in to the Burgomeister's
office.
- Offer to help Punny by giving him some money.
- Try to obtain Igor's professional services by offering him some money.
- Show Tanya's doll (Vana) to Igor.
- Throw rocks at the upper windows of the Adventurer's Guild.
- Notice the state of disrepair in the Adventurer's Guild.
Look at cracks on the wall, floor and ceiling (beam). Now look at the hole in
the ceiling right next to the cracked beam. Also, click the HAND icon on the floor crack (bottom left corner of screen).
- Note the moose head prop in the guild. This is running gag throughout the series.
- Read the brochure from the guild bookshelf. It is an avdertisement for
The Castle of Dr. Brain.
- Look at the ladder leading in and out of the Thieves' Guild.
Pick the locks of the desk and the safes in the Thieves' Guild without
disarming any traps first.
Kill the Chief Thief (Lorre Petrovich) in the Thieves'
Guild with a dagger. Try this both before and after restoring him to the
human form. Search the dead body.
Show the thief
sign to the Chief. Give him money or try to fence items (locket, blackbird).
Show him the guild card and the toolkit.
- Approach the monastery door without using the Dark One Sign or
any other protection.
Get the blackbird
from the niche above the monastery door.
Try to cook a blackbird
pie. That is, once you have the blackbird from the monastery and a pie pan.
- Check out the various ways to die in the monastery
basement, including the guarding hexapod, the small statue, the Necrophilicon, and
the trapped desk.
- Burn down the monastery using your torch or a flame dart spell
(on the carpet or the book in the basement) once you are done with it. Do this
when Igor is around and talk to him afterwards. Also tell the burgomeister why you
burned it when he next remarks about it.
- Try picking the lock to Dr. Cranium's front door (the one with the bells) using your
toolkit or lockpick. Also, try the nose above it.
- Try various incorrect answers when identifying an animal using the T.R.A.P. in
Dr. Cranium's hallway. Both when you're trying to identify an antwerp and the
hexapod. In one of these you will find Smokey the Elephant from QFG3.
- In Dr. Cranium's lab, look at and fiddle with all his scientific equipment and
paraphanelia (ray gun, boiler chain, flask in lower left etc).
Use oil, water or the torch on the various experiments going on. Also
click the flask of water on the beaker full of eyes (bottom right
corner of screen).
- Read the titles of some of the books in his collection.
Attempt to burn a book.
- Try to give avocado sandwiches, flowers, money, jewelry, or the magic fruit to the
scientist.
Break into Nikolai's
house. Play the music box on the table.
Get caught in Nikolai's house by walking around noisily,
opening desks and cupboards without oiling the hinges, waking up Nikolai, trying to kill him, etc.
- Notice the scarecrow outside town. Try to get it or hold a conversation with
it. Also pick up a pumpkin.
Cast a Flame
Dart spell at the corn stacks outside town.
- When you meet Katrina outside town or castle gates, click the HAND icon on
her and try to touch, kiss, or attack her. Ask her for a date and flirt with her.
Mordavian Forest
- Examine the local flora around the Mordavian forest - plants, bushes, and trees.
Try clicking the HAND icon on these.
- Look at the various monsters you encounter, both before and after combat.
Try clicking the HAND and MOUTH
icons on them.
- Be sure to sleep next to the staff in the town center and at Erana's Garden
several nights to experience some ominous dreams. Tell the gypsies about them.
- Read the epitaphs on the various graves in the cemetary. Open the unlocked tomb.
- In the Borgov crypt, knock on the various bas reliefs. Open each of the coffins.
Note that the one on the top right corner is a trap though.
- Talk to the wolves in the gypsy camp and tell them about your adventures.
- Try killing the wolves, with a dagger or a
spell.
- Click the HAND icon on the burning candle in the gypsy wagon.
- Succumb to the Rusalka's charm and enter the lake
upon her invitation.
- Try to kiss the Rusalka after befriending her.
- Throw avocado sandwiches at the Elderberry bush.
- Introduce yourself to Baba Yaga's bush and tell it to grow and prosper.
- Offer avocado & garlic sandwiches, candy, flowers,
rubber chicken or money to Baba Yaga when she asks for food. Be sure to save first
though as she will make a meal out of you instead after three tries. Also
try to offer anything when she is craving for pie.
Have a Reversal
spell on yourself when you return with the pie. Baba Yaga won't be able to
turn you into a hedgehog. Also try without the spell.
- When you are able to, look at various knick-knacks in Baba Yaga's hut, including
all the bones and skulls, book titles, crystbal ball, table, back scratcher etc.
- Click the HAND icon on the grasping hands in the
swamp.
- Wade in the swamp when your health is low, or Glide there
when your mana points are quite low.
- Try walking up the gooey path next to the Squid Stone toward to
Dark One's Cave.
Castle Borgov
When you have Piotyr's sword and the Flaming Sword paladin ability,
click your sword on the castle gates at night and watch the Hero's
fancy flaming sworsmanship. Actually this works for a Fighter as well
using a plain sword, probably due to a bug.
Strong fighter types can actually enter the castle through the front
gates at night. Force the gates open and be prepared for a tough battle with two
necrotaurs. Visit the gatekeeper on the next day. Now, just for
shocks, again try breaking it at the front gate at night.
- Try climbing or levitating over the gates at
night.
- Click the EYE and HAND
cursors on the various gargoyle statues adorning the front entrance
to the castle.
- At night, spy on Katrina's and Ad Avis' conversation through the side door
of the great hall. Try this without sneaking and oil
the door hinges also.
- In Tanya's room, look at all the toys.
- Attack Tanya or her friend Toby. The door will be
slammed in your face. Then return to her room.
- Listen to the conversation of the guards outside the dungeon.
Walk upto them.
- Look at all the torture implements in the dungeon. Listen to the
guards from inside.
- Look at and try to take the urns next to Katrina's coffin in her bedroom.
- Check out the various options when you click your HAND
icon on Katrina sleeping the coffin. Cop a feel.
- Kill Katrina with a stake when she's sleeping in
her coffin.
The Dark One's Cave
- At the beginning of the game, when you are
trying to get out of the Dark One's cave, stand very close to edge of
the chasm cliff. The multi-tentacled monster will have you for dinner
in no time!
Calm
the Pit Horror during the end game, than go up to it and click the
HAND icon on it.
- Check out the various ways to die in the
Ritual caves when you perform the Dark One Rituals.
- In the Sense Cave, click the HAND
icon in various parts of the cave each time you regain a sense.
- During the final confrontation with
Ad Avis, threaten him.
