i used to be really into looking at other forms of alternative faith, and although my knowledge was rather pedestrian at best, I did get obsessed about finding faith outside the established mainstream Judaeo-Christian camp. I studied a bit about Satanism, Vodoun (popularly known as voodoo), and one of my old personal beliefs turned out to have been an already established "faith" known as Zerism.

In any case, in my experience I find that the saddest thing about looking for faith is that it never seemed to satisfy me in the sense that I couldn't find anything that would perfectly balance the spectrums in which destiny was both autonomously achieved and in the hands of another force.

Okay, I am not finishing this comment anymore because I just got depressed over reading something else in another window. Nevermind.
