JustAdventure Status  Expect the Morpheus and Redjack reviews within the next week. Also, Randy is still trying to find time between his busy schedule to extrapolate survey results. All those who entered, cross your fingers, you just might win that game... You may already be a wiener!  Clearance Sale! Everything Must Go! Buy Buy Buy!  Bill Crow, the guy who ran Sierra's old FMV development studio and former director of technology, just emailed me. See, after Sierra axed the FMV department, he took all the junk with him, props set pieces and all. Bill Crow went on to found American Interactive Pictures.  So, after doing some inventory checkups, Crow has decided to make all the wonderful little props and pieces of Sierra games available for purchase to Sierra fans! We're talking FMV-era Sierra memorabilia here, people!   Bill and AI Pictures will launch the site tomorrow and you'll be able to browse through all of The Beast Within's props, set pieces, wardrobe items, and loads of GK junk.  This is just the beginning. Crow assures that Phantasmagoria is the next set that'll be made available for sale and he mentions that the torture devices, Carno's clothes, THE decapitated teddy bear, the snowman ornament and even the actual silver/black BMW 325i will be up for grabs!  ---c/o Matthew Arcilla

GK3 Set to Wait Out The Storm  Old news, that you may have seen from Andy's column is that Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned has been postponed for a January 1999 release (damn!) to avoid the intense competition Christmas Game Deluge.  And Freedom for None  Also, i'm not sure if this is new, but Sierra has suspended all 30-day free trials for The Realm, their online multi-player fantasy game, due to the rampant chaos hackers are causing.  Sierra For Sale  You may also have heard about Sierra and the rest of Cendant's (their parent company) software division being put up for sale, including Blizzard Entertainment. It is uncertain to what extent this decision may affect the production of existing adventure titles. Anyone got 20 million dollars lying around the house that I can borrow?  It's Hot, But It's Like... Not, or Not Yet.  Also, PC Gamer named Good and Evil and Anachronox as the (Future) Top 10 Games of 1999. For the uninformed, Good and Evil is being designed by Ron Gilbert (The Secret of Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion), the big kahuna of Cavedog Entertainment and is designed to have some real-time strategy elements in it (sounds scary, no?). As for Anachronox, it's a scifi RPG (a la Final Fantasy VII and Chronotrigger) using Quake 2's nigh-unbeatable graphic engine (beaten by Unreal).  Don't Fear the Reaper  Manny Calavera and his dead friends are coming to you this September 15th, the official release date of LucasArts' Grim Fandango! That's 16 days from now! As an aside, last year's Curse of Monkey Island was released October 15. If you can't wait that long, demo versions are available on CDs in most leading computer game magazines like CGW and PC Gamer  Yo-Ho-Ho And A Bottle of Rum!  GameSpot just put out a review of Cyberflix's pirate adventure, Redjack. Check it out and see what they say!
