SNK vs. Capcom to hit arcades?
6.Oct.00 | News from The Magicbox

Many SNK gamers are understandably dismayed that their characters have been watered down for this year's Capcom vs. SNK, produced by Capcom. You can then see where this rumour comes from. From The Magicbox:

RUMOR: SNK is planning to release their own arcade version of the cross over fighting game SNK vs Capcom in 2001. Unlike the Capcom Vs SNK, the gameplay of the SNK version will be more like The King of Fighter series, and you can choose from a number of different fighting styles.

SNK also made the SNK vs. Capcom games for Neo Geo Pocket Color, which were quite succesful games.
