All this and the full thrill of burning up the tracks with a fast vehicle at your control make this racing game very enjoyable and attractive indeed. So you can get a chance to participate in a racing contest they're promoting. The first 120 contestants to sign up will have their go at winning the grand prize: an Intensor™ LX 350 Game Chair with the others winning an official AMA Superbike T-shirt. The event will consist of 2 rounds of competition with the final round having only the best 21 racers competing to the end. HoMM 3's Expansion Pack Due Out Today
There are very few turn-based games in the market these days and any of them that you may find, they're not up to the challenge nor as good as what real-time based games usually may offer. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 or HoMM3 like most people call it, is one exception. You get to hire heroes whose main duties are to conquer enemies, gain control of enemy keeps, and fend off others who are trying to destroy you. Each hero has the ability to command a group of creatures that they've gathered through their travels or at their own keep so that when it's time to battle enemy troops they'll be ready. The strength and other attributes of each hero is also dependent upon the type of weapons and artifacts each one possesses. The more powerful the item that each one carries, the better his/her position will be in winning a fight. Items can be found all over the map as well as other important resources such as gold and gems needed to maintain your castle's upgrades and production of creatures for the heroes. Heroes also have the luxury of casting certain spells at their disposal. Spells that will help your creatures overcome enemy foes or hinder opposing forces from attacking you. Overall what this all dictates to is the concept of being the first to take over the world.
Now we all know that HoMM3 has been out for quite awhile but their latest expansion pack, HoMM3: Armageddon's Blade makes a welcome addition to the whole playing field. This expansion pack will provide a new set of creatures, spells, and a new castle type to battle it out with. Armageddon's Blade is expected to be released today but you won't see in a lot of stores until later this or early next week. For more information about this game, check out this site here. Of course, some of you may not like the form of turn-based gameplay no matter how good a game is but fans of Warcraft should take a look at this carefully. The style of the game is similar to what Warcraft III will be like except that HoMM3 is 2D and turn-based.
The latest Diablo 2's screen shot of the week captures a nice, crisp shot of an amazon, a necromancer, and a barbarian in a fray of crushing skeletons in their midst. There's nothing really new with the amazon's or necromancer's attack abilities as you can see. As for the barbarian, however, we finally get a first hand look at his jumping ability. Yes... that's right. The barbarian is the only character that can jump and it appears that he can jump amazingly high... wow. In the bottom left corner you can also make out what seems to be a new look for the town portal. What more can I say.. except that the game is coming along very nicely as each week passes. Anyways, click on the picture link below to get a closer look:

Blizzard Announces New Game at ECTS
If you visited Blizzard over the past weekend, you'd notice that they posted up a strange banner that said "The World will change 9.5.99". What does this mean? What world? What will the change be? Well.. during the ECTS convention in London, England yesterday (9.5.99) Blizzard unveiled their new latest game project they've been working on, Warcraft III. Yes... that's right.. Warcraft III will be coming out very soon... yahoooooo!
Blizzard South has been centering their efforts on Warcraft III for the past year or so in secrecy. According to them, the world indeed will change with and in the world of Warcraft itself. In other words, Blizzard plans to change the game play world of Warcraft completely. It won't be a real-time strategy (RTS) game like in the previous two sequels. Instead, it'll be a new genre combining the best aspects of role playing and real-time strategy into one game. Blizzard calls this new genre, a real-time role playing strategy (RPS) game and hopes that it'll catch on in the years to come.
The news that it won't be a standard real-time strategy game has brought a lot of disappointment to most of the fans who were hoping to play another sequel of that nature. Yet, this new genre does look promising. For one thing, Blizzard is planning to make the game 3D with some additional features which will give the game that much more. You can read up on those features and check out a few of the game's screen shots at their new Warcraft III site here. You can also look at this article about the game posted at Gamespot UK with even more screen shots. Here is a couple of them you'll find there:
So whether you like their new concept or not, with Blizzard's consistent track record of award winning games there's no doubt that this game will probably be another huge hit. If you disagree... well.. time will tell. Blizzard expects to release the game at the end of year 2000.

Blizzard's Latest Diablo 2's Update
Blizzard's latest Diablo 2's SSOTW shows a sorceress defending herself with a nova spell. As you know there was a previous picture of her doing the same thing so there's nothing really new about that. However, if you look near the bottom of the screen shot you'll see nine new buttons. What are these new buttons you say? Well... according to Mike Huang who works at Blizzard North.. he says they're menu buttons. He explains them what they are here.
Now... for those of you who are interested in what sorts of quests will be in the game and don't mind being spoiled, check out this latest page of info. about all the quests in Act I, Act II, and beyond at DiabloII.net. What's interesting enough is that there's also a mention of more quests being added into the game when the expansion set comes out.
