Background:
Pong still isn't sure how he ended up in the Arena. He was always content to sit by the fire and eat until his belly was full, and then eat some more. One day got caught up in the crowd at a Festival of Grosta and ended up in a ritual battle. He drew on some hidden reserves that even he didn't know about and ended up winning with ease. His current manager, DangerFool, was in the crowd and somehow plied him with enough food, wine, and women to fight in the Arena.
He knows that Halflings don't last long on the sands and nearly wets himself before every fight. After surviving each battle he swears to himself that that was his last one, but then some cute little Halfing lass tells him how brave he was and then he promises to win his next fight for her.
