The winds blow through the city kicking up dirt and sand while blowing the skulls of dead warriors through the arenas, disorienting all that decide to brave the elements especially the rain that has begun to fall. Deciding to take shelter you duck down an alley where you wander into a building that you have never seen before though the building its self seems as if it has been here since the beggining. Inside it is dimly lited but you do notice rows of cases containing transcripts of past fights and biographies of all teams, managers, and warriors. On the table in front of you lies an open book that catches your attention as it seems it has been recently scribed upon. As you read it, this tale is revealed of the Avatar and the Disciples of Pain:
Avatar:
The Avatar is an immortal warrior from another realm who entered this realm in search of a challenge and a group of warriors to restrengthen his army back in the other realm. Upon entering it he went to the places where only those type of warriors can be tested... the arenas. Though finding these were not difficult for him, since this was his second visit to this realm. For the first time he entered this realm was to better understand it. In doing so he met two legendary warriors one called himself GrimJack and the other only wanted to be referred to by his title... The Enforcer. Once the warriors were collected this time, Avatar visited his old friends and got admission into the arenas to test his new warriors and find the ones worthy of returning with him.
Now the current Disciples of Pain stories:
The Disciples of Pain have always been a highly brutal, intensly cruel, diabolic group of blood-thisty warriors. Each has there own story and in it their own reason for fighting. For many brutality and arenas have been all they had known before being rescued, others had their own bigotry towards certain races, while others simply did it because they enjoyed doing so. For most of its existence the Disciples of Pain was lead by a highly diabolic creature that called himself Lord Malinko. Using his powers of mass illusion and hypnotism he tricked these warriors into seeing the thing they hated most in the enemies Malinko wanted destroyed. Malinko's mistake however was in his arrogance and due to this he lost many of his best warriors and more than that challenged someone he should never have angered, that man was the Avatar. Little did Malinko know but he was giving Avatar exactly what he wanted, a powerful army. Avatar quickly destroyed him and claimed the strongest warriors as his own and destroyed the rest. The ones that were left, he offered the oppertunity to join his army. Being impressed by his power the warriors quickly agreed. The condition to joining his army though was that they had to proove themselves in the most dangerous group of arenas known to any being... the arenas of PATHOCROM. If you wish to know more about the current members of the Disciples of Pain, you only have to check out their backgrounds when you have the oppertunity to fight them. If you wish to meet them outside the arena all you have to do is check the local bars and sooner or later you'll find them drinking and toasting to the days fights especially to the bravery of the warriors that died this day and the fact that their still alive. If you wish to join them then sit down though you will have to buy your own alcohol, but if one of them killed one of your teammates and their was no bad blood between groups they will buy you atleast one glass to salute to your warriors bravery.
