5/30/2003 - Another day for the Swarm Patrol. I installed our new Russian into the selected hive yesterday, sprayed her and the hive with vanilla syrup, added an extra marshmellow to the cage and put here in I'll check back with them in five days to remove the cage.

5/28/2003 - Yesterday my son and I went through our out yard, I had found that one of my strongest colonies had swarmed and were in a bit of a disarray. Found 3 queens in there with only one just starting to lay. They had lots of room too. I think they were just a swarmy lot. I'll requeen them with something less swarmy. I found a good hive to set up for the Russian. I'll also put in the Jenter box frame there to get it drawn out.

5/26/2003 - I am to Set Up a hive to receive their new Russian queen. I'm looking for one of my stronger hives. I will go through it and take the oldest sealed brood and move it to the top of the hive above a queen excluder leaving the original queen below. Over night, the nurse bees will follow the brood. I will then put a double screen board in tomorrow to isolate the bees and make them feel queenless. When the new queen arrives on 5/28/2003 she will be installed into a hive that is fully prepared to receiver her.

5/25/2003 - The Website sure has changed from what it used to be. Welcome to our new vision and join us for future up dates as I develop this site.
