Part 1

The Stage Is Set

Truce Village, 1,000 A.D.

Ahh.. a gorgeous day. 1,000 A.D. You have a hat on, but you can't see it. You have a sword, but you can't see it. You have a vest on, but it looks like a shirt. Don't you love RPG games? Anyway, talk to mommy twice, and she'll hand over your allowance-200 GP!

Get yourself familiarized with your town. Don't buy anything yet. Talk to some people in the houses, and don't go to the fair yet (save the excitement!). After you've visited the town, and learn the scenario, enter the small forest to the west of your house, and fight some of the mushrooms. Level up about 2 times-you'll have a lot of money, lots of hitpoints, and probably a new tech-Cyclone. This attack hits one enemy, and all enemies around it. And it's strong, too. ^^ Recover at your house by taking a nap. Don't worry-the fair won't leave without you.

Leene Square, 1,000 A.D.

Festival time! Enter the fair and talk to people. You can win silver points in a number of ways. These points do many things. For 10, you can attempt to get a little Poyozo doll. Does nothing, but it's cute and plays a song, and is in your room. For 40 points, you can nab a clone. It does a bunch of actions, and goes in your room. You may not know it now, but later on, it could save your life.... but don't worry. If you don't get it now, you'll have a chance later. For 80 silver points (owch), you can try to get another cat, or some cat food. You can win these points in a number of ways. You can win one measly point on the far left of the first screen, by hitting the bell. Press A when you're far enough back and whap it! You can bet on people in the tent near Norstien Bekler (spelling?)'s lab, for _20_ points. But it's mostly chance. I notice that Catalack doesn't win much, and that the man on the fence is barely ever right. Up one screen, you can drink soda for 5 silver points by tapping A very very fast. It's hard to win without a turbo controller. Finally, you can fight Gato, Lucca's robot, for 15 points, and a little experience and tech points. Anyway, when you enter north, check out the bell. Isn't it pr-

BAM! What the-a girl has crashed into you. Talk to her before you grab the pendant and give it back. She'll introduce herself as Marle. Go up.. eh.. people are guarding the way. Well, anyway, fight Gato a bit. Once or twice is fine. Don't eat the bag of pink stuff on the way up! Trust me. Talk to the cat, and.. what? It's following you! Slowly lead it over to the girl on the right side, and she'll be forever grateful.

Go down, and talk to Melchior. Buy some fine equipment. When he asks to buy the pendant, say no! It's hers after all. Buy good armor for yourself. Buy maybe a vest for Marle, but nothing more. Have about 800 GP on hand-if you don't, fight some more Hetakes for money, and experience. Keep going until Marle learns Aura. After you're done, go back to the fair (after healing at home), and talk to any merchant. You don't have to buy anything, but maybe a few Tonics. The merchant will tell you Lucca's exhibit is set up. Oh? Let's go see!

But first, we should use our Silver Points. Do you want a Poyozo Doll? If so, get one. Want a clone, get one. Want a cat, get one. It's not really hard. :P Fight Gato to get it. Note that you get 50 GP in the north part of the fair for every 10 silver points-not bad! Go north.. and Marle will want some candy. Don't move, or she'll get angry! After a few moments, you'll be able to continue. Go north, and watch Lucca's excellent show-you getting transferred from one telepod to the other!! Awesome! Well, after you're done, Marle will want a chance. Sure, let her go.... umm... her pendant is glowing. Ahh!! She disapeared! Quick, go after her!!!! Ooo, pretty transfer.... W..where are you? Talk to everyone.. and you'll learn... oh man.. you're 400 years back in time!!

Truce Village, 600 A.D.

Well, now what? The people are nice enough..... except they're sort of scared half to death by the approaching army, led by Ozzie and Magus. Well, the cathedral has 4 nuns... well, besides one calling you delicious, nothing suspicious. The bridge is broken.. no chance of crossing. And you can't go back. Only one place to go.... Guardia Castle.

Guardia Castle, 600 A.D.

Well, as soon as you barge in, you're attacked!.. fortunetly, Queen Leene saves you. How nice! Anyway, you can eat food to the right, or sleep to the left. Both can recover you fully. Head up and find Queen Leene, talking to people and learning information. Take as many items as you like.. they won't get mad. When you talk to her.. she'll tell you... that.. she's not Queen Leene.... she's Marle?!?! Wow, nice costume. Uh, why is she glowing? OMG, she disapeared!! Ahh, crap.. you knew you had to work harder, didn't you? If you just took her back instantly, it wouldn't be as fun! ^^() Well, the maids don't notice... just walk by... and sprint down the stairs.

Who's that? Oh.. it's Lucca! She explains the whole story... hmm.... interesting. Marle... or should we say, Nadia, is Queen Leene's descendent! If Queen Leene dies...... *shudder* Let's not go there. Anyway, go to town and outfit her as well as you can. Head for the cathedral.. hmm, the nuns are still the same. *peer* Hey, did you see something.. on the stairs...glow??

Guardia Cathedral, 600 A.D.

Pick it up.. hmm... a hairpin. The royal symbol of Guardia?

The nuns turn into evil Naga-ettes.. sigh... beware of their powerful attacks and slowing techniqes. If you happens to get the Double Tech, use Fire Whirl to cream them. If not, Cyclone should be fine. Well, you got 'em all.. ack! There's still one more!

And down comes Frog. Wow, he speaks weird... well, ye dost.. err... you have to explore around a little. Nothing really interesting.. except the organ in the corner. Play it.. ahh, pretty music.... ! A door appeared from the wall? Let's check it out!

Cathedral Dungeon, 600 A.D.

Well, this place isn't very sporting. Monsters are attacking you. Attack the stupid things back! Sheesh! Use tonic as much as you need-it'll probably be useless later on anyway with Marle's "Aura". Save a couple, though.. just in case. Keep searching for the skull icon on the wall.. hit it to knock down the spikes in the room on the front. Enter the room.. and bam, you're attacked! Fend them off, and grab Frog's new weapon. Play the organ, and run around to the back... where did that door from? Ah well. This place is weird. Explore the area on the left, first.. umm... they're talking about eating humans!! Fortunetly, they think you're a monster in disguise. One of them leaves the room.. and goes around... better follow him. Chase him down... ? All right! It's Leene, King Guardia, and a soldier! ^^ You did it! Err... umm... why are they turning into snakes? -_-() Gotta love Squaresoft. Beat up the snakes, and run to the east... what's with that weird singing? Ah well. Grab the items.. and try to escape. Too bad you'll be attacked. :( Darn. Beat 'em up. By now, you should've learned X-strike. If not, fight until ya do. This attack is very powerful again the boss. Head west...and enter the room. Check the ball.. hooray! You got the Naga-Ette Bromide! And then three fat guys attack you. -_-()()()() DARN. They're a little difficult-might wanna use Fire Whirl. Whatever ya do, maul them and head north. Ack, spikes are blocking your way! :( Only one thing to do.

Walk around 'em :P Head left by going down a bit. It sort of looks like you're going into the wall. What realistic 3-d graphics! Hit the skull switch, and the spikes dissapear. I wonder why they do that? And why can't you jump over them? Ah well. You should be able to figure out where to go from here! See the little sparkly point after the slow rolling fat guy? You can set a shelter here, and save! Anyway, to make a long story short, enter Yakra's room, and... save Leene from... the Chancellor?!

Boss Battle: Yakra

Eh, so sue me, I forgot what number. Something like IX? Anyway, this guy is monotony with a little fun. Repeat after me. X-strike. Attack. X-strike. Heal. X-strike. Heal. X-strike. Heal. X-strike. Maybe attack if ya want. It's not hard, you can do it! ;) Yakra's not difficult.. but he does have an obnoxious attack that hurts all three of your members. Lucca should use tonic, and maybe use a little flame toss. Yakra's a snap. Save the chancellor and Leene, and go home!

Guardia Castle, 600 A.D.

Well, that's that! Frog leaves your party. I guess it's time to do... wait, didn't we chase someone here? .....MARLE! Hurry back to where she disapeared. Here she is!...in her new clothes that you first met her with. Hmm... well, anyway, leave... after talking to Frog. Lucca seems to have become slightly attached! ^^ Well, head back to where you first came to 600 A.D. Do I really GOTTA do the new headline?? Oh, fine.

Truce Canyon, 600 A.D.

There, happy?? Lucca announced her gate key, and you go sprawling back through time. Aww, man, I gotta do the headline again..

Leene Square, 1000 A.D.

There. It's harder than it looks! All those HTML tags.. but it's cool, eh? Anyway, Lucca leaves.. so you'd better escort Marle home. Beat up Gato a bit, too! After you're done, head to Guardia Castle.

Guardia Castle, 100 A.D.

So what, I skipped Guardia Forest? Nyah! Anyway, as soon as you enter..... you're attacked and fall unconcious. At the trial, what you did at the fair helps. If you didn't sell the pendant, that's good. If you brought back the cat, that's good. If you didn't eat the man's pink bag (his lunch!), that's good. Say you were the cause of it all. When the chancellor asks, say you were not at ALL tempted by her. Well... you're not guilty! Yipee!

What, 3 days in prison? Oh well.. at least you're not.. gonna.. get.. killed... WHAT???! The chancellor is lying!! What death penalty?? AHH!!!

Well, if you were innocent, you get a Mid Ether in your cell. You can replenish life with the cup, and save in the corner. There are two ways to get out... I'll do the better way first.

Walk up to the guards, and press A to goof around with the bars. One asks you to stop. Do it again! >:) He tells you to stop. Hmm.. do it again!! .... he comes in and smacks you. Two can play at that game! Backstab him, run out, and defeat the guard. To make a long story short, race through the place, and meet up with Lucca at the end.

Here's the easier way. It gets you less XP and less weaponary, but more Mid Tonics. Just wait.. it'll take about 2 minutes. They'll take you to be killed... guess this is it.

UnTiL LuCcA cOmEs In To SaVe YoU!!! All right! She blasts 'em and saves your butt! Talk to Fritz and save him-you'll know why later. Check the corpses of the unconcious guards for midtonics. The supervisor gives you _5_! Save your game, and head outside.

Boss Battle: Dragon Tank

Kill the head!! DIE HEAD DIE! If you're using Game + (In which case, you probably don't NEED this walkthrough!), don't bother with Lightning attacks. Fire Whirl does very little more damage that Cyclone, since the tank is resistant to Fire, so don't bother. Use Cyclone a lot, and have Lucca shoot the head and heal when necessary. The head heals a lot-don't worry. Just keep killing it. Next off all, kill the body. Then, the wheels. It's not easy.. but not hard. ^^ Walk across the chancellor/soldier/soldier bridge and escape... and find.. Marle? Hmm... well, after the boring cinema scene, run outside.. what? A gate! Enter it.. and let's see where you are.

Trann Dome, 2300 A.D.
Oops.. did I spoil the surprise? Sorry. Wow... this place is so dumped... just plain busted....... enter the dome and talk to people, getting the best armor you can.... what's with this weird door? Ah well.. too bad you can't help the people... hmm... well, I guess you'll have to go find something! Leave the lab and head east.

Lab 16, 2300 A.D.

So where are Labs 1-15? Oh well. The slimes can only be defeated by Fire Whirl, Flame Toss, or Slash. If you're out of MP, or have somehow gotten this far without any of them, RUN! Watch out for Mutants-they deal quite a bit of damage, and can recover. Still, XP isn't bad.. anyway, watch out for the evil rats who steal your tonic. They're eViL. After you're done, you'll probably be tired and weak... it's a good thing a dome is coming up!

Arris Dome, 2300 A.D.

Never have you been more happy to see a run down, disgusting, rusting dome with dying people inside! Hop into the Enertron, and snatch a couple items. Meet a new friend..Doan, I think. Hmm... they need food. Well, you have nothing better to do (other than save the others in the first dome, make sure you aren't being hunted by Marle's parents, and get back to your own time!), so why don't you help? Actually, if you don't get the Bike Key here you can't pass Lab 32. Darn. Head down the ladder..hmm.... can't reach the door on the left. Enter the door on the left.

Oo, one step means certain doom! Well, it's a good thing you couldn't walk off it you tried. :P Hey, check it out. A creepy rat statue. Head north.. uhh.. did someone trip an alarm? Well, you'd better hurry.. AHHH!! WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING?

Boss Battle: Guardian

*sigh* Obnoxious bosses... kill it quick. Oh wait, you can't.. ^^() 'cuz this guys a little difficult. Well, do what I do.. kill the bit on the left. Then the bit on the right. Use Aura Whirl and Aura as necessary. Then blast the guardian. If he recalls the bits, ignore 'em. Just blast the guardian, and heal as necessary. Watch out for its Delta attack, which can do quite a bit of damage. After you beat 'im.. P-U! What is that smell? Oh, just a rotting corpse. Hmm... he's got some seeds on him. Let's go back to Doan.. err.. why is the statue moving? Sprint with B and grab it!! It may take a bit, but you shouldn't have too much of a problem. Hmm.. hold L and R and press A... got it. All right.

Arris Dome, 2300 A.D.

Head back to Doan and heal in the Enertron. Head back down, and enter the door on the right. Well, there's a bunch of new enemies here, but nothing really difficult. Just make your way to the end... good thing there's no boss! Err.... umm.. a computer room. Somehow, Lucca can activate this object 1300 years ahead of her time.. hmm.. it tells you the nearest gate. Cool! Then Marle walks up and hits a button. AHH! SELF DESTRUCT!

Just kidding. :) It shows you 1999 A.D. Day of Lavos? Maybe he was a famous king or something. Hmm.. err.. ^^() That doesn't look like a king.. say.... maybe Lavos is the cause of all this destruction... hmm... head back to Doan. He accepts the seeds gratefully, and offers you a Bike Key. What the-you just risked your life for a key. What an ungrateful.. oh well, you saved their lives. Still.. a key? I mean, after all, over 1000 years must've made some inflation... I'll bet a good 10,000 GP is like daily allowance! Oh well. I guess it can't be, or those tonics would cost thousands of GP. Head to Lab 32 to the east... I say don't even bother with the sewers for now. If you want to go, however, do so.

Lab 32, 2300 A.D.

Ahh, Robots!!!! Kill!! Ki-err...... it's.. *gasp* Johnny! The Man!!! Hail! Ahem *regains posture* Race him! He thinks he's all that... use your boosts. This is easy... wait until you're really close to the end and use a boost. Simple. It may take you a bit, but you're probably good to go. ^^ That key was pretty useful after all! Don't bother with the factory for now, just head south to Proto Dome.

Proto Dome, 2300 A.D.

Hmm.. nothing here but a bunch of stupid Buggers! Beat 'em up with some well placed Cyclones or Fire Whirls. You can rest in the Enertron ahead. Oh gosh.. see the robot? Must be a..

Boss Bat-hey, wait, he's not attacking us. Hmm... maybe....

Lucca repairs the robot... hmm... can't enter the door to the back.. oh wow, it speaks English! COOL! Well, you can rename him, but I'll refer to him as Robo. He'll tell you how to enter the door... we have to go to the factory. But someone must stay behind to open the door! Who will stay, who will stay.. ahh, pick someone! I say Lucca, since Marle's healing is critical this early in the game. But Robo also learns Heal spells, so you may want Lucca. Factory time!

Factory, 2300 A.D.

Hmm... right as soon as Robo starts typing on the computer, a couple enemies come down. Yay. :P Beat 'em up and.. take the left path. Or rather, the left elevator.

Ya shouldn't get too lost. The enemies only have about 10 HP each, even if you DO do low damage! When you're in the room with the hatch, follow along the path, throught two doors, until you come to a door leading into this large room. Yay! Get both chests and then examine the console to shut of the defense lasers. Now exit the room and go right to an elevator. Take the elevator down... err, wait. Now take it up three times. My bad. ;) If you keep walking, you should enter a HUGE room with a conveyor belt. Hop on and fight the battles. After a little exploration, you should find something that says "XY" and "BB". When something asks you to enter the password, type XY then BB. Go down and go left to learn a code- XABY. Zabie? Hmm.. heading right will let you out. Head back to the elevator, and go down. Explore a little ^^ You should eventually find a computer. Zabie.. all right. Type XABY. Then you'll go through a long cinema scene, try to escape, and eventually bump into..

Boss Battle: R-Series

Just have Lucca heal with Tonics and Marle use Auras. Maybe use a couple Firewhirls. Crono's Cyclone works great.. use it twice on the front row, twice on the back. Then you drag Robo back to the dome, for Lucca to fix him up.

Where shall this new portal lead? Will you ever be able to reach 1,000 A.D. again..? Only time will tell. *NICE QUOTE!*
