Nick Wedd has compiled a comparison list of the rules for the various 18xx titles. It's very impressive and getting close to covering all of the games. Recommended.
Andy Lange has set up a site dedicated to 18xx PBEM games. It notes games in progress and has a opponents wanted list for PBEM games. It has not been updated since May of last year, so I can not recommend it as highly as I once did.
The Train Gamers Association, Inc. is a group of dedicated players of train-games, including the 18XX titles. A number of 18XX variants mentioned here have been published in their publication, The Train Gamer's Gazette. This site has reviews and decriptions of many 18xx titles, as well as information about the trains and companies of several titles.
Dave Mitton has set up a website for his PBEM 18xx games, as well as a lot of other information.

Bill Ingram maintains a web-page devoted to all manner of train-games, including 18XX. There is a lot of useful information to found there. Please note this site has recently moved, so you may want to re-bookmark it. This site has not been updated in quite a while.
The FIGF is an Italian 18xx Gamer's group. They have recently created a web page.
Another site with 1830 information, including the errata from General Volume 23, Number 6. This site is in Germany.
The River City Gazette is devoted to PBEM Train games, primarily 1830, but some other useful information can be found there. This site has not been updated in a long time.
Rob van Wijngaarden, one of the designers of 1839, has some information about his design on his website. This page has details on the planned rework of 1839. Rob has been very busy being the president of the national game club in the Netherlands - he promises to get back to updating the site and working on the game in a couple of months.
Rob Stimets has organized several PBEM 1856 games, and has devised a page for those who would like to follow the games. A great source of strategy ideas.
Mayfair Games, publisher of 1856 and 1870, and american distributor of 1835 and 1853, now has a website. The rules for some 18xx games are available from this site. This site has not been updated since before the closure. No word has been given as to whether this site will be integrated into the ICE site or continue to exist independently.
Winsome Games is the publisher of the upcoming 1831. This is a new site, which will, hopefully, add more information as it evolves.
The Games Report is a publication dedicated to multiplayer board games. While it does have only a few 18xx related items, it makes great reading, and is well worth a visit.
Web-Grognards is probably the premiere wargaming website. If you have a bent towards this end of the strategy game field, take a look.
