Description:
My favorite daoc character I've ever made by far. Very solid in solo pve and rvr, good in group pve, and decent in group rvr. Actually, this is the second friars I've created, the otherone only hit level 10 or so before I retired him. I didn't like the class, but it was when friars were still very broken and gimpy. Actually, I made my first friar before I even made Alindra. After I had played Alindra a bunch, I decided that I needed a char with more 'omph' to their hits, but still retained some defense. I decided upon a friar. At first my experiences were the same as before, lots of misses, low defense, poor heals. The beginning levels were pretty tough. After about level 20 or so, things started looking up. I had higher levels of evade, the first absorb buff, and some better styles. This is when the class got really fun. PVE was still a chore, but not as bad as before. I could kill quickly and heal myself to reduce downtimes. I soloed most of the way to 50 with some exceptions (guild diamond farming, xan sentry raids, Sidi raids). In the end I hit 50 in barrows on Skeletal Druids (in saph armor no less!). I'll post the screenshot later when I'm in the mood. :p

Along the way I'd take rvr breaks with <Alive>, and I felt usefull, even when I was in my 30s. Why? Healing, buffing, and utility Alindra didn't have (pre-end chant we're talking). After I hit 50 and got my spellcrafted armor, I really came into my own. I felt very useful in groups... Even tho my heals were ghetto and I get a complex when I blow 1/4 to 1/2 my power keeping someone alive just to have a cleric save 3 people in the cast of one spread heal. *sigh* I do what I can. :P And when things got rough (no groups to be had, amg camping, etc), I'd make solo runs through the midgard frontier... and have a lot of fun in Dodens. Now don't think I pick on lowbies to farm rps. If they make a surrendering emote (unless I've had a very bad day), I let them live. Its happened more than once. :)

Even tho I had an absolute blast with Eirowyn and daoc in general, I finally had to retire my account because it was taking up too much of my time and I wasn't doing enough else. I really wish I could keep playing, and I may reactivate my account later, but it doesn't look like it. :(

Video Appearances:
Quivna's HatTrick Video (490ish megs, 43:40 mins): Quivna's look at the ranger class. I appear twice in the vid, once at the end of the "Punk to Funk" song, and once during the "Trance Dance" song. Died both times cause I didn't have IP yet. :(
Chooch's WTF-HAX Video (73.8 megs, 8:11 mins): I'm the crazy Friar running around and can be seen frantically trying to heal and/or running around. I die at the half way point because of the stun / debuff / nuke dealie. I survived it the first time from a lucky heal, but the second time I didn't and IP lagged. Ahh well. :\

Alindra Alindra
Guild: <Alive>
Former Guild: <Defective Gummi Bears>
Server Gawaine
Class: Paladin
Level: 50
Race: Highlander
Realm Points: 268,994
Title: Gryphon Knight
Tradeskill: None
Spec:
   46 (+?) Chants
   42 (+?) Sheild
   39 (+?) Slash
   20 (+?) Parry
Realm Abilities:
   Augmented Dexterity 2
   Mastery of Blocking 3
   Mastery of Pain 1
   Mastery of Parrying 1
   Toughness
   Faith Heal
   0 Free Points

Description:
First character to break 20, first character to hit 50. Back in the day before defensive specs were broke and a sheild specced anything was gimp. I remember being specced in 2h and the good 'ole 'make any weapon glow' bug. Fun days. :) A very solid pve char, would be ever sturdier in player-crafted / spellcrafted armor, but that would cost far too much for my pocket book... Some of my best battles were fought on Alindra, living through stupid odds, and twisting my fingers off. Ahh the nostolgia. :)

After defensive specs were fixed I respecced to sword and sheild (my original intention before I found out it was gimpy). I had many fun battles, but eventually retired Alindra because I realized I couldn't stand the low damage output. A Paladins defense and longevity is greater than any other class over time... too bad that only works in duels. RvR is driven by sheer dmg output, which Alindra lacked. I decided I needed a char with decent defense, good utility (I can't stand 'pure' classes), and good damage output. It drove me to make Eirowyn. I've never regretted my decision. ;)

Lyhn Lyhn
Guild: Unguilded
Former Guild: <Legends>
Former Guild: <Realm Walkers>
Server Mordred
Class: Warden
Level: 41
Race: Celt
Realm Points: 10,624
Title: Cosantoir
Tradeskill: None
Spec:
   41 (+?) Nurture
   21 (+?) Blades
   16 (+?) Regrowth
   12 (+?) Parry
Realm Abilities:
   Augmented Acuity 2
   Serenity 2
   Mystic Crystal Lore
   0 Free Points

Description:
Wow, this was a fun fun class. Heals, buffs, rezzes, styles, speed, end regen, resist buffs, and, of course, mention pbt. I can solo yellows and sometimes OJs and my helm is 40af chain. My real regret about this char? My server choice, why Mordred! >_< Its the pits. I have a screenshot of some of the nonsense that goes on there that I'll post if I ever find it...

Come to think of it, theres two main things I hate about the class.
  1) Damage output: Its very depressing to never see hits go above 50 or so, and style bonuses of +9. It drives me crazy. I hate being dragged across the field because I do little dmg (when I melee, most times I heal till oop or engaged in melee myself)
  2) No CC: No anytime stun, mez, or root. I never realized how much I'd miss Slam till I made a toon without a sheild spec. :(

Krynthos Krynthos
Guild: <Alive>
Server Gawaine
Class: Necromancer
Level: 37
Race: Inconnu
Realm Points: 1,080
Title: Guardian
Tradeskill: None
Spec:
   41 (+7) Death sight
   1 (+?) Death Servant
   1 (+?) Painworking
Realm Abilities:
   Mystic Crystal Lore
   2 Free Points

Description:
Hes a leveling monster! Got him to his current level while spending a decent amount of time in Thidranki and Caledonia in about 3 days played. Not only that, but my bg experience has been pretty positive. Necromancer is pretty much the only caster class I could bring myself to play. Why? Cause they're sturdier than all the other casting classes (barring maybe the BoneDancer) and generally don't die in two hits.

Krynthos was my random escape toon when things got a bit hectic and I needed to release from zergs, amg campouts and what-not. He was going to be my farmbot if he ever got to 45-50, but alas I never did...

Fun class, but sometimes the pet interface / bugs drive me insane!

Shiinna Shiinna
Guild: <Sybil's Prophecy>
Server Guinevere
Class: Skald
Level: 23
Race: Norse
Realm Points: 86
Title: Skiltvakten
Tradeskill: None
Spec:
   23 (+0) Battlesongs
   15 (+5) Sword
   3 (+5) Parry
Realm Abilities:
   2 Free Points

Description:
I made Shiinna after the Realm Walkers on Mordred pretty much disbanded. They said they had interest in playing Midgard characters, so I decided to tag along once again. I made a skald since I like more 'tankish characters' and they needed a speed char anyways. It was a pretty fun class, tho the lack of defense and downtimes were a real drag. :( She got exponentially better when I got her some spellcrafted player crafted armor. It added somewhere around 100hp, a considirable amount of weapon skill (don't have the exact numbers), dex, parry, oh man, it made a huge difference. I only had time to take her out to Thidranki one time, which is when I got all my rps.

It was really fun being the driver of the group too, I got to try to immitate driving tacticts mastered by Lille. I remember the fight too, ended up going toe to toe with a polearmsman, and it went down to the last hit. I started spamming my DDs and I saw the timer count down from about 4, then "BZZT!", dead armsman. Course his buddies got me. ;p

I stopped playing her cause it seemed like all the RWs stopped playing. In actuality they had joined a diff guild. lol Just my luck. Oh well, it pushed me back to Gawaine where I made Eirowyn. :)

Urdead Urdead
Guild: <Alive>
Former Guild: <Defective Gummi Bears>
Server Gawaine
Class: Infiltrator
Level: 21
Race: Saracen
Realm Points: 77
Title: Guardian
Tradeskill: Tailoring (504)
Spec:
   21 (+?) Critical Strike
   18 (+?) Stealth
   15 (+?) Envenom
   6 (+?) Thrust
Realm Abilities:
   2 Free Points

Description:
What can I say? I absolutely hate this toon. equipment, leveling time (no, I don't have a bot), my experiences in Thidranki, and especially the name. I thought it'd be a funny little name back in the day, and its haunted me to this day. Ungh. Only reason I keep this toon is because of her 504 tailoring skill! Oh yeah, and I rolled this toon before they even got 2.5x spec points. So I'm not a bandwagon inf. :P

I dunno, stealthers always look like a ton of fun, but from my experiences in the battlegrounds, its just not my kind of character. Not only are they extremely squishy, they don't have the hps and don't hit too hard either. (Its not cause of my spec. Before I respecced I had about 18 thrust and I still hit for like, 30-40) I like the sturdier classes than the assasin classes. Oh well.

Funny Tidbit of Info: Got 400 tradeskill and my emblemized cloak at lvl8. Many people wondered how I got it. :)
