Zelda: Ocarina of Time Walkthrough
Part 3:
From Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly to Death Mountain Crater

Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly: Once inside go forward and you will notice two creatures known as Octorok pop up from the water just bounce the rocks they spit at you back at them with your Deku Shield. There are also 2 bubbles in this room called Shabom, they aren't really a threat, they just bounce around the room aimlessly, if you wish to destroy them lock on to them and use the jump sword attack on them(but this can be harmful to you, because if your distance isn't just right you will get hurt). Now go the door and Navi will try to get your attention, use C-up to listen to her and she will tell you must solve the puzzle in this room to open this door(entrance). Pull out your slingshot now turn around and look up and you will see Navi turn green around a small object hanging down, hit it with the slingshot to open the door(entrance), now go through it. Once through this door there will be a little jelly fish called Biri floating around the room don't touch it at all or you will be electrocuted. The only thing you can presenly hurt it with is a Deku stick, just head to the left and go through the next door. Once through the door just keep going forward and you will see Princess Ruto, she will introduce her self and tells you she didn't ask for help and that she can't leave right now. She will walk off and fall down a hole, go down after her. Once down here talk to her and she will tell you she told you to go away and that she's okay, and that Lord Jabu-Jabu is very strange today, she will also mention that she lost her precious stone and tells you to go home. Talk to her again and she will make you carry her, and tell you she won't leave ubtill she finds what she's looking for. Now pick her up and take her through the door up on this platform, do not jump down from here. Once through the door jump down into the water, but don't step on the white button in the center of the room yet, throw Ruto up to the platform on the otherside. Now kill the Gold Skulltula, now step on the button which will raise the water level, and climb up the wall to collect the Gold Skulltula token, and get up to the platform with Ruto(don't worry if the water level lowers before you can get up to Ruto just hit the button again). Now grab Ruto and head to the door, and put her down and use your slingshot to open this door just like the one in the first room. Once through the door put Ruto down and bounce the rock back at the Octorok to kill it, now pick Ruto up and wait for a platform to come down and jump on it to get a lift back up to the top. Once at the top jump across to the ledge and proceed to the room where you first met Ruto. Once here just go forward through the door but be careful not to fall down any of the holes. Once through the door head to your right(but avoid the Tailpasaram) untill you come to a white button, jump on it and Navi will tell you you can't push this switch with your weight alone, but if you have Ruto in your hands it will push it down and open the door, now go through that door. Once through the door put Ruto down, now kill all the Stingers in this room, the easiest way to do this is to lock onto them and pull out your slingshot and kill them with that. Once they are all defeated a treasure chest will appear, open it and you will get the boomerang. Now pick up Ruto and go back out of this room. Once back out of the room with the boomerang go straight all the way to another white button(but right before you get to the button turn right and head down that hallway untill Navi tells you that electricity is running through that red slimy thing don't touch it but go back to the button), jump on the button now put Ruto down on it to keep it down, and go through the door. Once in this room lock on to the big worm known as the Parasitic Tentacle?, and hit it with the boomerang untill it's dead, once it's gone a treasure chest will appear, open it to get dungeon map. Now head back out of this room, to where you left Ruto she will complain about you leaving her behind, just pick her up and go to where that red slimy thing as Navi described it and she will say that it's must be gone beacause you cut the red tail and she will ask if that will work on the other ones as well. Now go through the door. Once through the door put Ruto down and destroy all the Shaboms by locking on to them and hitting them with your boomerang(if you fail to destroy all the Shaboms within the alotted time you get get another chance, and to get Ruto go back to the room in which you first encountered her and she will be waiting there for you). After you defeat them a treasure chest will appear, open it to obtain the compass. Now pick up Ruto and go back out of this room and go to the left to the door which was behind the other "red slimy thing" near the other white button and go through the door. Once through this door put down Ruto and lock on to this tail and kill it just like the previous room, once it's gone grab Ruto and exit this room. Once out of that room go through the door that was being blocked by the blue slimy thing(it's the door directly across from the door leading back to the room in which you first encountered Ruto). Once in this room put down Ruto, now kill all the Biri by locking on to them and hitting them with the boomerang, and then destroy the tail. After you defeat the tail pick up Ruto and go back to the room where you first met her, and fall down the hole which should be on your right(giving you followed my directions, if you're confused just be sure your on the left side of the map on the lower right hand corner) where a "green slimy thing" used to be. Once down here kill the 2 Gold Skulltula's with your slingshot and retrieve the Token's by locking on to them and using your boomerang, now go through the door just near where you fell. Once through the door you will notice a Stone on a platform, Ruto will get tell you to throw her up to it, do it and she will get the stone. She will tell you to take her home, as soon as you take a few steps toward the platform it will raise up to the top, you will here her scream and say something about an Octopus. The platform will come down and a mini boss known as Bigocto will be on it, and he swims around the platform. Now to defeat him lock on to him and use your boomerang to stun him, now if his back is turned to you, hit the spot on his back with your sword. If his back isn't turned to you back off just a bit and once he starts spinning around nail him again with the boomerang. Just keep hiting him with the boomerang when he starts spinning, and hit him with your sword in the back, and keep doing this untill he is defeated. After he's defeated grab the hearts he drops and step on the platform and it will take you up to another room. Now just go through the door at the end of the hallway. Once through this door stun the two red moving platforms with the boomerang and jump across them to get to the door and go through it(you might want to destroy the Octorok first beacause it can be very annoying when it knocks you off the platforms while you're trying to get across them). Once through the door jump over to the other ledge and it will lower you to the next floor. Once down here run around to the other side of the room and grab one of those boxes and take it back to the other side of the room and place it on the white button, and go through the door. Once through the door kill all the Biri as you have before, now look for a Gold Skulltula on the big ledge in the room and kill it and climb up to collect the token and keep climbing to the top. Now lock on to the switch hanging down and get over to the left side of this high ledge and step back away a little from the wall and throw your boomerang to open the door to the bosses chamber, now enter the bosses chamber.

Barinade: To defeat this boss, lock on to it and throw your boomerang to destroy the 3 tentacles on top of it. After those are destroyed lock on to the bottom part of it and keep throwing your boomerang untill it gets through the spinning jelly fish to stun it, then keep hitting it with your sword untill it gets free of you. Now lock on it again and stun it again, this time the jelly fish will detach from it, lock on to them and destroy them with your boomerang(you probably won't destroy the jelly fish in one try). After the jelly fish are destroyed it will start spinning around faster, just keep moving by jumping to the side and stunning it with the boomerang and attacking it with with the sword untill it's destroyed. Grab the heart and step into the blue light and Ruto will complain that you took too long, and you 2 will be taken back to Zora's Fountain.

Zora's Fountain: Once out here Ruto will give you the Spirtual Stone of Water, Zora's Sapphire as an Engagement Ring. After you obtain it return to Hyrule Field.

Hyrule Field: Once here head to Hyrule Castle, when you get to the front of the castle it will become a cinematic scene and Zelda will throw the Ocarina of Time in the Water, and you will get a taste of Ganondorf's power. After it's over jump in the water and get the Ocarina of Time, then you will receive a message from Zelda and learn the Song of Time, now go to the Temple of Time.

Temple of Time:Play the Song of Time while standing on the red rug in front of the alter, after the door opens go through it and grab the Master Sword. After you pull it you will be transported to the Chamber of the Sages and meet a Sage, he will explain why you are here and tell you, you must awaken the other Sages and gives you the Medallion of Light then teleports you back to the Temple of Time. Once you return to the Temple of time a myterious figure will come up behind you, he will tell you about the 5 other Temples and tell you, you must go to the Forest Temple to help a girl you know awaken as a Sage, he then tells you aren't a equipped to enter it and that you must obtain an item from Kakariko. After he's done talking to you go to Lon Lon Ranch.

Lon Lon Ranch: Make sure it's day when you go in the ranch, now go up to the Horse pen, and talk to Ingo. He will say something about people saying he cheated Talon out the ranch and that Ganondorf gave the rance to him, then he will ask you if you want to ride a horse for 10 rupees, say that you want to ride and will ask you if you want to hear how to ride, choose listen to learn how if you don't already know how. After you listen to him or chose not to listen you will inside the pen, just get on the horse and ride around untill your time runs out. After your time runs out Ingo will tell you so and you will be taken back out to the gates of the pen, now pay Ingo 10 more rupees to ride again. Now once you are back in the pen don't get on the horse right next to you, instead play Epona's Song and you will see a lighter colored horse come up to you, now climb up on this horse and talk to Ingo while on it's back. Now Ingo will challenge you to a race with a wager of 50 rupees, accept the challenge and beat him. After that he ask for rematch which you can't decline this time wagering the horse you're riding for 50 of your rupees. after you beat him a second time he will give you the horse but says you can never leave. So just run and leap over one of the out side walls of the rance and Epona is yours. Now go to Lake Hylia.

Lake Hylia: Okay once here go to where you planted the magic bean in the past and you will see a plant where the soft soil was in the past. Step on it and it will raise up and fly you up to the roof of the house, over to the fishing pond, to the island in the center of whats left of the lake and back to where it started. You want to get up onto the roof, once there climb the ladder up there, and once you get to the top you will find a heart piece. Now you want to go talk to Scarecrow(remember it's over near the fishing pond), now take out your Ocarina and play the Scarecrow Song you made up when you were a kid, now the Scarecrow song is complete. Now go all the way the past the scarecrow to the right side of the map, now play the Scarecrow Song. You should see a scarecrow appear, get close enough to use the hookshot on the scarecrow to get up to the ledge, now go into the Fishing Pond. Pay the guy to fish, the best places are under the log in the lake and the three poles sticking from the water. After you get a fish at least 14 pounds weigh in and you will recieve the Gold Scale. Now head to Kakariko Village.

Kakariko Village: Once here go into the windmill, talk to the man in here and he will say some thing that he blames the Ocarina kid for and says he'll mess him up if he ever comes around again. Now stand right in front of him and pull out your Ocarina, he will say that reminds him of a time seven years ago, and tell you about it. Then he will play the Song of Storms for you, and you will learn it, now go to the graveyard.

Graveyard: Once here go the single row of graves on the side of the graveyard. Now pull the grave with the plant's growing in front of it and go down the hole that's revealed. Once down here go forward and a strange man will dare you to follow him do it(he will throw flames at you, don't touch them, and just look for the flames if you didn't see which way he went), after you've been running for about a minute look out for a room with a big hole in the middle he will fly over it you must follow the walkway around the left side of the room. Once he stops talk to him and he will give you a treasure chest, open it and receive the Hookshot. Now go through the doorway behind the chest, once here the door will seal behind you, now in this room you will notice a block with the same symbol as the Door of Time, play the Song of Time to move it. Now after you get past it and go up the stairs you will notice you are in the windmill, but don't jump down yet, use C-up to look to your right and you will notice a piece of heart, jump aross to the platform spinning aroud and jump to the heart when it moves close enough(if you have followed my directions you will have completed a heart for a total of 8 hearts). Now go to the Lost woods.

Lost Woods: Once here go right, left, right and you will run into Mido, he wont let you pass because he doesn't know you, play Saria's Song and he will let you pass. After you go through the way he was blocking go straight, left, then right and you will be in the Sacred Forest Meadow.

Sacred Forest Meadow: Now go forward and Navi will tell you a very useful technique, do as she said and face to the right and press and hold the Z-button, now walk to the left untill you see a big creature with a spear, if he's facing you he'll run at you and ram you into the wall so quickly move back to the right so he can't get you. You want to hit him in the back with your Hookshot, you can't hurt them with your sword head on(you can get them in the back with your sword but it's hard to get close enough before it turns around, and if you run at them they will hear you and turn around). Just remember what i said and work your way through the corridors, once you get to the stairs go up them and you will see a creature bigger than the other ones. He swings his club to the ground which causes a wave of dirt to come up speeding at you, he hit's it in 3 places in the middle and next to the 2 walls, just run to one of the places he didn't swing to avoid the dirt waves untill you can run past him. Now continue up the stairs, once up the stairs you will go forward to where Saria used to sit, then Shiek jumps down and teaches you the Minuet of Forest which will allow you to warp back to this spot whenever you want. Now from where you are standing use the Hookshot to hook on to the tree to get up to the stone ledge, now go through the door way to enter the Forest Temple.

Forest Temple: In the first room(if you can call it a room), climb up the wall on the right and over to the tree now you should hear a Gold Skulltula kill it with your Hookshot and use it again to get the token, now jump to the other tree and there will be a chest up there with a key in it, now go through the door. Once through the door use your hookshot to kill the spider and go through the door. Once you enter this room you will see 4 ghosts steal the flames from the torches and take off, now just head forward to the door directly across from you, before you go through the door look to your right and use your Hookshot to kill the Gold Shulltula and use the Hookshot to get the token, now go through the door. Once through the door you will she a blue flaming skull called Blue Bubble, the easiest way to defeat it is lock on to it and hit it with your Hookshot, then draw your sword but make sure your far enough away so you don't hit it when you draw your sword, now do the jump attack to destroy it with 1 hit, then proceed through the door. Once through the door 2 skeletons called Stalfos, defeat them by locking on to them and hold up your shield to block their attacks the counter attack with A after you block it's attack(be careful of the other one when your fighting one, after you destroy the first one defeat the other one, if you take to long the first one will raise again) after you destroy them a chest will appear, open it to get another key. No go back to the room with the 4 torches that ghosts stole the flames from. Now go to the top left hallway with the block in it, move the block by playing the Song of Time, now go through the door. Once through the door go to the right and use the hookshot to get the 2 spiders you can reach off the wall then climb the vines get as far to the right so you can get to the top before the last spider knocks you off the wall once up the wall go through the door. Once through the door kill the Blue Bubble to make a chest appear, open the chest to get the map and then go through the door. Once through the door lock on to Deku Baba and hit it head with your sword then quickly cut the stem to finish it off, now use the hookshot to hook on to the target above the other balchony to get over there, now step on the button to drain the water from the well. Now kill the sider and climb down the vines right near the balchony with the button and hold up so you dont get hurt when you fall. Now take out the Big Deku Baba and the Octorok, now look at the ground and you will see a dirt trail leading to the well, stand right at the edge of the water where the dirt trial touches it, now look for a treasure chest on the ledge on the other side of the water and hookshot to it, now open it to get a 1 heart life recharge, now kill the Gold Skulltula and get the token. Now climb down the well and get the key in the chest down there and climb up the vines. Once at the top go through the door. Now you should be in the room with the four unlit torches go through the locked door on the left side of the map. Kill the spider with the hookshot, then go through the door. Now climb up the ladder in front of you and the one right next to that one, now keep going the only way you can and Navi will say something arrows painted on the floor, now move the green block along those arrows untill you get it to the wall, now head to where that block was and stay right untill you get to the side of the green block and push it untill it drops down into a small hole. Now head to where the green block orginally was, and look for a ladder and climb it, once up the ladder keep going right as soon as you can and you will come upon a red block and push it as far as you can, now go back to the green block and climb on top of it and up to the ledge. Now you should see the red block again push it untill it drops down just like the green one, now climb up on it and up to the ledge, now keep going to the right and climb the ladder. Once up the ladder go the only way you can untill you run into 2 Blue Bubbles, destroy them if you wish, but go through the locked door. Once through the door go forward and Navi will sat this corridor is all twisted, just proceed forward and Navi will tell you to watch out for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceilling, jump to the piller and then jump to the the locked door on the right and go through it. Now go down the stairs and through the door at the bottom. Now defeat the Stalfos(don't be fooled about the hole in the center of the room the Stalfos can walk over it but you will fall and have to go all the way back up), after you defeat it a block will fall from the ceilling and close the hole, then 2 more Stalfos will rise up, after they are defeated a chest will apear, open it to obtain the bow. Now return to the room which you were in before you came through the twisted corridor now shoot the eye out above the door with your bow to straighten out the corridor. Now go through the door and go through the now straight corridor now jump down but look out for the hole down there now open the chest to get the boss key and jump down the hole. Once down the hole kill the 2 Blue Bubbles to open the door then go through it. Now go to the you will be on a ledge out side destroy the Big Deku Baba to get past it, now there will be a door staright in front of and one on the wall off to right of that door, go through the door on the right. Now kill the hand by locking on to it and blocking it with your shield when it jumps at you then attacking it with the A-button jump attack, then it will split into 3 smaller hands attack them with B(be careful they don't grab you, if they do just keep moving the control stick to brake free, don't take too long or the smaller hands will become bigger hands), after they are defeated a chest will appear, open it to get a key. Now go back out of this room and go through the other door. Now jump down and go back up the ladders and up the blocks back to the room before the twisted corridor and shoot the eye again to twist the corridor back up. Go through the twisted corridor and through the door on the right. Now shoot the 3 paintings with the Bow when the ghosts are in them if you get to close the ghost will get out of the paintings and go to another one(if they aren't in a painting get away from the painting and come back and they will be there again), after you shoot all 3 of the paintings a ghost will appear, follow it to the door at the bottom defeat it by locking on to it and block it with the shield when it spins around and attack it when it appears, after it destroyed the torch will light and a chest will appear, open it to get a key. Go through the door. Now go through the this door. Once you enter this room you will think you got turned around but this room is just a mirror of the other room with the stairs. Repeat the same process for this room as you did the other room, but this time the chest contains a compass. Now go through the looked door at the top of the stairs. Now go to the right and through the locked door at the end of the corridor with the 2 Green Bubbles. Now shoot an arrow through the torch and at the frozen eye on the wall to twist the corridor with the Green Bubbles. Now go through the newly twisted corridor and jump down and go down the hole. Now you are in room with a checkerd floor, now this room is deadly because part of the ceiling comes down a squashes you. Just run forward and back a litte to make it fall. After it starts to go back up run and step on the button to open the door, now wait for the cielling to fall and when it goes back up run to the chest now open it to get some arrows, wait for the ceilling to come down then run to and go through the door. Now shoot the painting with an arrow and 5 blocks will fall from the cielling, now you want to put the puzzle together you only need 4 to make, so move the dark colored one out of the way and push the rest together, after you put it together a ghost will appear. Defeat it like the other 2 and go through the door. Now kill the spider with the hookshot, and go through the door. Now go to the center of the room you will see the last ghost it will split into 4 different part, only one is real, it's the one that spins around when they first split, shoot that one with an arrow, keep doing the same thing untill it's defeated, that will light the last torch, bringing the elevator back up. Now go down the elevator. Now push the walls sticking out from the round walls, to push all the buttons and find the Gold Skulltula. After you have pushed the buttons on each color on the ground and unlock the door to the Bosses Chamber.

Phantom Ganon: To make the boss appear go up the stairs to the center of the room, then go back down the stairs and spikes will block your way and the boss will appear. Now this is the hardest boss you have encountered in the game, in his first form he will jump into the paintings on his horse, now pull out your bow and keep turning around in circles untill you see him(there are 2 of them running at you one is real one isn't, the fake one's horse is all black so look for the horse with the gold on it). Hit him with the bow when the purple rift opens enough for you to get an arrow through, after you hit him 3 times he will get off the horse. Now lock on to him and when he throws his beams at you hit it back at him, and he can hit it back at you keep hitting it back at him untill it hits him, just back far enough away so you have time to react, when it hits him attack him with your sword. Just keep hitting his beam back at him and attack him with your sword, untill he's defeated. When he's gone grab the heart and step in the blue light, then you will be back at the Chamber of Sages.

Chamber of Sages: After you meet the new sage and get the Forest Medallion you will be teleported to the Kokiri Forest where you will meet someone new who will tell you more about your past, after that go to the Temple of Time.

Temple of Time: Go to where you got the Master Sword and Shiek will tell you how to go back in time and then teach the Prelude of Light which will warp you back to the Temple of Time whenever you play it. Now you want to go to Kakariko Village.

Kakariko Village: Once here go to the House of Skulltula and talk to the boy on your left when you first enter the house, he will give you the stone of Agony which will shake the rumble pack when you are close to a secret. Now go to Goron City.

Goron City: Once here you will notice it's deserted, there is however one Goron rollong around on one of the levels, go find him. Once you find him you must stop him from rolling by placing a bomb in his path so that he's right next to it when it explodes. Now talk to him and he will tell you why everyone is gone, then he will give you to choices of things to say, say either one and then the other one when he gives you the option again. After that he will give you the Goron's Tunic and open the door on the boom level, go in the door with the bomb flowers on each side of it to go to a shop and buy arrows and bombs if you are low on them. Now go to Darunia's room, once in here equip the Goron's Tunic and pull the statue away from the wall to reveal a path into the Death Mountain Crater, now go through the tunnel.
