After being a big hit on the SNES...ISSD arrives on the Sega Mega Drive. The game has plenty of options from a regular match to a tournament and even a training mode where you can practise free kicks and corner kicks. There us also a large range of teams to choose from including Brazil and Wales! Before starting a game you can perfect your team by changing it's formation to suit your playing style. Aswell as this you can adjust your strategy and make necessary substitutions if a player is injured. After selecting your options the game begins. The graphics are quite impressive, th players been a good size, unfortunately you don't see the crowd during the match as in the SNES version. The players are easy to control, but it's difficult to score if you just shoot at goal. it's best to go into the penalty area to bring the keeper off his line, dribble the ball around him, he'll dive and miss if you don't get too close..then you should have an easy shot. With the weaker teams, you can repeat this and score nearly every time!!! Like the SNES version the game has a little speech commentary, phrases include "What, no foul" and "Great lob", but it's rather muffled and becomes a bit annoying at times. But it's the game-play which makes ISSD great...and the many options available. Rating 9/10 BUY IT!!!
