History The fabled city of the centaurs is located in the old province of Saskatchewan, near the bones of the Pre-rifts City of Saskatoon. The Old Centaurs that stumbled from the rifts in 60 P.A. happened upon the remains of the city as they wandered the great expanse of the forest. During the exploration of the decaying city, and after encountering several demons and paranoid humans, they decided they would need a stronghold. They scoured the area around the city and saw a huge lake that encompassed the northern border of the ancient city. From the vantage point atop a hill, the centaur scouts noticed a forested island toward the center of the lake. They sent a swimmer to search out the island and when he came back saying that nothing inhabited it, they decided it would be a great place for a stronghold. They built a crude bridge out to the island and began the arduous task of preparing it as a sanctuary. They used the natural resources around them to provide for the community and their technology level was that of medieval Europe. As they neared the completion of their wonderful city, scouting guards from the ancient city raced to the new city, bringing word with them a large mass of armored centaurs were rummaging around through the ancient city. The Grand Chief called for the New Centaurs to be invited into the city and be met. The New Centaurs were allowed audience with the Grand Chief and they told him of their plight. The armored centaurs explained they were from a different world and were transported here through an evil magic that plagued their home world. Kindred spirits were recognized and welcomed within the protective walls.
