By the way, I will use the default names of the characters, Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo.
The Beginning of the Quest...
Okay, when you first start a game, you will be in your jammies. Get downstairs and talk to your mom. She'll make you get into your normal clothes. Then you can go outside and explore. Go to your left. Follow the trail of police officers to the top of the mountain. Once there you find that the trail is blocked right before you get to the very top. Talk to the fat kid. He's Pokey and he will cause you lots of trouble in the future. He will tell you to go home. Go home, and your mom wil ask you if you have had enough and want to go to bed. Go to bed, and later that night Pokey will knock on your door, waking everyone. First, go to your sister's room and get the present. The present will have a cracked bat. Equip it, then answer the door, and Pokey will ask you to help him find his brother. Ask the dog to help you too. Then you will set off to find Pokey's brother. Go to the top of the mountain. There are some enemies here, but as long as you keep attacking, there shouldn't be much damage to you. Once you get to the top, the dog will run away. There you will find Pickey, Pokey's little brother. As you leave, Pokey will hear a buzzing sound. Then a bug will come out of the meteorite and tell you a bunch of stuff about you being the chosen one, yada yada yada. Then the bug (Buzz Buzz) will join your group. Then you have to make your way back down the mountain. Before you reach your house, an alien (Starman Jr.) will attack you. This is your first boss. He will be really easy, since Buzz Buzz will give you all Shield E and do some major damage. All you have to do is keep bashing. Once he's out of the way, you can go take Pickey and Pokey back home. They live in the house to the left of yours. Their father will punish them, and their mother will kill Buzz Buzz. He will tell you about some more crap about you having to go 8 sanctuary spots. The first one is Giant Step, in Onett. Then leave Pokey's house and head to your own. Rest and save your game.
The Shark Gang...
Once you have done that, you can go into town. Don't forget to stop by the library and talk to
the librarian. She will give you a map. Press X to use it. Anyway, I suggest going back to the mountain and leveling up. Once you hit
level ... 5, you can risk going into town without getting seriously hurt. By now, you should have a lot of money. Buy some supplies
and go to the game center. Level up by fighting the shark gang until you reach level 8 and get PSI Attack a. This attack will
make it a lot easier to fight Frank, the leader of the Sharks. Go into the game center and go into the door that is being guarded.
You
will be in the backyard. Talk to Frank. Fight him, then you have to fight the Machine. Keep using PSI Attack a, and you
should beat both of them with ease. Afterward, you can talk to Frank and he will heal you.
Giant Step...
Once you have healed and saved, then go to the Entertainer's Shack. It's behind the town
somewhere... You'll just have to find it for yourselves. Once you talk to them, go and talk to the mayor. He will give you the key to
unlock the shack. Go unlock the shack and talk to the entertainers again. One of them will give you a Travel Charm. Save it, since
one of your characters will be needing it very soon... Anyway, go into the shack and into the cave behind it. You will face slugs,
mice and ants. (Hint: EXPLORE LATER! This is because once you beat the main boss, the creatures will run away from you, since
you beat their master.) At the end of this cave system, there is a Titanic Ant. Beat him and go into the cave he's guarding. You are
at Giant Step! Walk towards the step and you will be healed and told of something in you past. Then explore the rest of the cave and
leave. Once you reach the shack again, a police officer will yell at you. Go save and heal, then go to the police station.
Problems with the Police...
Once at the police station, talk to the guy with the moustache. He is Captain Strong. He will
lead you to a room. There, 5 police officers will attempt to beat you. Take them all out, and then you have to face Captain
Strong. I
hope you saved some PP for this fight, because he's actually tougher than the other police officers. Once you beat the crap out of
him, He will let you go to Twoson. Take the road south and go to Twoson.
Twoson and the missing girl...
Here in Twoson, something is amiss. Paula has been kidnapped! But first, you have to go into the department store and get some supplies. Then go to the cycle shop and get a bike. This will make traveling a little faster. Go to the Kindergarten and talk to Paula's parents. Then go to Apple Kid's house and give him 200 Dollars. He will build you stuff throughout the game. Don't give anything to the Orange Kid. He won't make you diddly squat. Then make your way to the bus stop. Go past the bus stop and you will find a cave. You have to get off your bike in order to go into the cave. Once you get through the cave, you will be in a valley. This is Peaceful Rest Valley. Keep going north, and you will find a broken bridge. Since you can't cross here, keep going north. You will find a pencil blocking your path. Go back to town. I know this may seem like a waste of time, but once you get back to the town, you'll get a phone call saying that Apple kid has something for you. Go to Burglin Park. You'll be ambushed by some guy on a roof. Fight him and talk to him. He is Everdred, the crime boss of this park. He'll tell you something about Paula. Then go south of his house, and you will find Apple kid. He will give you... TADAAAAA! a Pencil Eraser! Now you can erase that mysterious pencil blocking your path in Peaceful Rest Valley. Go back there, erase the pencil and keep going. Eventually, you will cross two bridges and find a cave. Go into the cave, and when you come out, you will be in a blue town. No, literally a BLUE town. The houses, some of the people and even a cow are all blue.
Happy Happy Village and Mr. Carpainter...
In this village, there will be a big house. In this house, is a cult. I suggest going to the shop first and saving, even though it is a pay phone. But there are no black phones in this town, so I hope you have a lot of money. Somewhere in this town you can rest for 50$, but I would just use food items if I were you. Near the shop there is a cave. Go and explore. At the end of the cave you will see a house. Inside the house, Paula will be behind bars. Talk to her and she will give you a Franklin Badge. This will reflect all Lightning attacks, so always keep it with you. Go back to the big house in the middle of the town and you will have to go through a maze of insane cultists. Talk to some of them, and they will let you pass. Once you get through, get to Mr. Carpainter. He will attack you. Don't bother with PSI, because all his lightning attacks will bounce off you and hit him. Once you defeat him, he will give you a key. Go back outside and get all the presents you missed. Then go free Paula and equip her with the Travel Charm that you got from the entertainer guy. Then go to the shop and buy stuff for her. You should have done this in the first place, but I realize that it wastes room in your inventory, so I figure, who cares? Anyway, Get out of there and go back to Twoson. Take her back to her parents and return the bike. Paula is now an official part of your team.
Lilliput Steps...
Go back to Happy Happy Village and go into the cave on the eastern wall. A boy with frazzled hair should be near the entrance. Go in, and defeat the boss, which I think is a huge mole. Then you will get the melody of Lilliput Steps. You don't have to this now. (In fact, I did this when I was near the 7th sanctuary spot, Lumine Hall.) This is one of the two sanctuary spots that really isn't a forced part of the story line. The other one is Milky Well. But you have to get them anyway...
Threed and the zombies...
Go into Burglin Park and talk to Everdred. He will give you a wad of bills. Go talk to the Runaway 5, who are standing outside of the Chaos Theater. One of them will give you a backstage pass. Get into the building, watch the show and then talk to the manager. Give him the wad of bills and he'll let the Runaway 5 leave. Catch a ride with the Runaway 5, since only their bus can get through the ghost infested tunnel to Threed. Once you get to Threed, start exploring. After a while, a lady will go into the Hotel. Follow her. She will lead you into a room, where you will get the crap kicked out of you and you will black out. When you come to, you will be in a strange room. Go immediately for the door. When you find it's locked, Paula will use her psychic powers and call for Jeff.
Winters: Tessie and Bubble Monkey...
In Winters, there is a boy named Jeff (Or whatever you named him.) Anyway, you will now take the role of Jeff. Go through out
the boarding school. Go into the locker room and try to open the lockers. Then talk to Maxwell, he will give you a Bad Key Machine.
Go into the locker room again and get everything you can. Then leave. You'll have to leave Tony behind (Awwwww.) Then head
South. Make sure you stop by the shop to save your game, and get Bubble Monkey. Once you
get south enough, you will be at Lake Tess. Spend the night in one of the tents, and it will be morning. Go to the little peninsula and
there will be spot of brown dirt. Step on that, and Tessie will appear. Bubble Monkey will guide Tessie to you, so get on and enjoy
the ride. Once you get to the other side, you have to go through a dungeon. At the end of this dungeon there is a guy. He is
"Dungeon Man" named Brick Road. He will heal you and sell you items, I think. Then go south some more, and go through another
cave. You will find one of those Sanctuary bosses, but you can't fight him, since you aren't Ness. Go out of the west cave. You will
be outside, and Bubble Monkey will leave you for some girl monkey. Go South some more and you will find Dr. Andonuts. He is
Jeff's father. He will build you a Sky Runner. Go upstairs and get the present. Then Go into the Sky Runner. You will land in
Threed,
by crashing into the prison.
The Zombies & Lord Barf...
Now Jeff joins your team. Use the Bad Key Machine and get out of the prison. Now go to the Hotel and heal and save. Now you must go to the South part of town. There will be a ghost tent somewhere around there. Fight it, and when you win you will find a Jar of Fly Honey. Save this, you'll need it. Go talk to the people inside of the circus tent south of the hotel. Then Apple Kid will call you and send you some Zombie Paper. Once you get it, go back into the tent and use it. Then spend a night at the hotel. You will see zombies from all around go to the tent and get stuck. Wake up and go to the tent, to see the stuck zombies. Then go to the cemetary on the Northwest part of the map. There, you will find a path leading to a ladder thingy. Go down into the place and get to the other side. There will be a valley. Go north and enter the cave. At the other side, will be Saturn Valley.
Saturn Valley and the Mr. Saturns...
The Mr. Saturns are all weird. But that's okay. The hotel and the hospital are free here. Talk to ALL of the Mr. Saturns. They will tell you what to do and what you can do. Then go back out the cave that let you in. Go north to the waterfall. Go in and all the way to the left. There should be a guy that says, "What's the Password?" Then you have to wait for three minutes. Now would be a good time to get that bathroom break and grab some munchies before you head back to your game. After three minutes, the guy will let you in and you will be able to explore the place. Like I said before, beat the main boss first, then explore. The main boss is Master Belch, or something like that. Give him the fly honey. He will eat it, and will not be able to attack you because he's so busy eating the honey. Go ahead and kill him slowly and painfully, since he can't hit back. Once you defeat him, go into the door behind him. You will end up at the place in Saturn Valley with the hot spring that you couldn't go before. Now the ladders are fixed and you can come back to the hot spring whenever you want. Drink the coffee and then go heal and save. Now head back to Threed.
The Great Desert and Fourside...
Now that you're back at Threed, you can catch a bus to Fourside. you get halfway there, and you are stuck in a traffic jam in the middle of the desert. You get kicked off the bus and now you have to cross the desert on your own. Some things in the desert you might come across: A monkey, a green worm that gives you 10,000 EXP each if you catch it, some people sunbathing, and much more! Towards the end of the desert you will find some guy. He will ask you for some food. Give him some and he will start digging. Go to tunnel and cross the bridge. You will be in Fourside. Go to the hotel and save, since you will soon be going up against MANY bosses. I hope Paula has Freeze b, or you're screwed. Go into the Topolla Theater. It's a $30 ticket, so I hope you have lots of money. Listen to the Runaway 5's story and show, and then talk to the manager. The Runaway 5 has been screwed again, so they need your help.
The 5 Great Moles...
Go back to the desert. Remeber the guy you gave food to? Well that guy has dug a great tunnel! He needs your help though, to get rid of all the monsters. So go into the tunnel and root out all 5 of the monster moles to help him out. The moles are weak against Freeze b, so use that attack a lot. Once you get rid of the moles, the music of the tunnel will change into the music of the desert, and you should use an exit mouse to get out. Go back to Fourside.
Fourside and Moonside...
As you head back to Fourside, a construction guy will give you a big diamond. Use this to pay back the manager of the Topolla Theater. Now the Runaway 5 are free to go again. Watch their last performance. Then go to the department store. It should be open. Go inside, buy all the supplies you need, then head out... But then the lights turn off and someone takes Paula! Go back up to the fourth floor and into the office. Fight the boss and head out to the Cafe. It's not on your map, but it's somewhere in the Northwest area. Go in and talk to everyone. Go back outside. There will be a large crowd. Everdred is in the middle. Give on kid an item to get out of your way, then talk to him. He will tell you some things, then run away. Go back into the cafe. One of the walls should lead you into Moonside. Once in Moonside, talk to everyone and everything. Get all the presents you can, because some of them contain defense items that will really help you. In Moonside, everything is flipped, so yes is no and no is yes. This applies to your replies to everyone. So if someone asks you to buy something, then say no to buy something... I hope that makes sense... Anyway, you have to get into a particular room with a guy that looks like Mr. T and an invisible guy. Talk to one of the guys out in the city. The one that says, "Hello... and Goodbye! Should I..." is the one that will send you to the mysterious room. By now, you should have seen a sailor guy blocking your way to the Monotoli building. Talk to him once you have the invisible guy. He will go drink with the invisible guy and you are free to go to the Monotoli building. Save first, since this will be a tough battle. First, the old man will run away and say he is not Monotoli. Then fight the evil Mani Mani statue. When you win, you will be in a wherehouse with a rat. The rat will tell you what's been going on. Leave the wherehouse and the cafe.
Monkeys and Saving Paula...
Apple kid will send you a yogurt dispenser neglected class, meaning that some guy will come by, telling you he dropped it in the desert and he's not going back. Then a maid will ask you for some trout flavored yogurt. Then a monkey (This just gets weirder and weirder, doesn't it?) comes by and asks you to visit the monkey village on the edge of the desert. Take the bus back to Threed, but the bus will stop half way, letting you get off and go to the monkey village. Go through the monkey village. Once you get to the end, you will get your yogurt dispenser and the power of teleportion. Teleport to Fourside and go to the Monotoli building. Talk to the maid, Electra, and follow her into the building. Find her room and she will give you some trout yogurt. Now it's time to save Paula. Go farther into the rooms and you will find a Clumbsy Robot. Just keep attacking it, since it has a psychic shield and bottle rockets don't work. After a while, the Runaway 5 will come in and shut the robot down. Then you have to go into Monotoli's room. Talk to the old man and he will release Paula. Then go to the heliport. Pokey takes your helicopter and flies off. Go back and leave Monotoli's room. Paula will become dizzy for a few seconds before you leave the room and tell you that you have to go back to Threed. Go out and the Runaway 5 will drive you to Threed.
Winters and Summers...
Once in Threed, go to the room where you and Paula were kept prisoner. The local citizens have rebuilt the Sky Runner, and Jeff will fix the rest of it. Then all of you will head to Winters. Dr. Andonuts will fix the Sky Runner, while you go to the Sanctuary Spot that Jeff had discovered earlier in the game. When you come back from finishing the boss, take the Sky Runner to Summers. You will crash land in Summers. You will need A LOT of cash in order to equip yourself with the best defense and offense items. Go East to the port town and one of the people will give you the secret number for the Stoic Club. Go to the museum, and use the black courtesy phone to call the number. Then go into the Stoic Club and talk to the fat man with the moustache. Then talk to the girl that the guy was talking about. She will go outside to make Magic Cakes. Go outside and go southwest and you will find her cart. Eat her cakes and you will pass out. Then you will have a clear, strange dream...
Dalaam, Poo and Mu training...
Dalaam. You are now the Crown Prince, Poo. Take all the stuff in the chests and go out of the palace. Go south, all the way to the cliff... mountain... thing with ropes... Whatever! Just climb to the top. After a while, someone will tell you to go back to the palace. Go back and talk to your master (The old guy). He will tell you to go back. You might have to do this 2-4 times. Finally, the background will get starry. Your ancestor will ask you if he can break various parts of your body. Say yes to all of these, because if you don't, you will have to go through the going to the palace and back routine until the ancestor thing happens again. When you are done, someone will tell you to go back to your master again. He will tell you of the prophesy of three boys and one girl defeating the ultimate evil. You gain about 4 levels and teleport to Summers.
The Four are now joined...
Now that you four are joined, you can go to the museum! I know that sounds cheesy, but trust me. In the museum, talk to the guy with glasses. He is Mr. Fork, and he will be mumbling something about Mr. Spoon at the Fourside Dinosaur Museum having something extraordinary. Go ahead and explore, then leave the museum. As you head out, the phone will ring. Answer it. It will tell you to go to Fourside and check out what Mr. Spoon has found.
Magnet Hill...
Teleport to Fourside. Go into the museum. Mr. Spoon will let you into the room behind him if you can get him an autograph of the hottest singer, Venus. Go to the Topalla Theater and listen to the show. Then go to the dressing room and Venus will give you a signed banana peel and a kiss! Go back to Mr. Spoon in the museum and he will get out of the way so you can explore in the sewer. Go through the sewer and get Magnet Hill. There will also be a chest there with a Carrot Key in it. Remeber the statues of rabbits in Dalaam...? I think you know what to do.
Pink Cloud...
In Dalaam, there is a sanctuary spot called Pink Cloud. After you destroy the boss, then explore, because there is one of Poo's items in here. I think it's the Bracer of Kings. As you may have noticed, Poo cannot wear any items or have any weapon. He can only wear things that are "Of Kings". His only weapon can be found in the Stonehenge base, the Sword of Kings. To get it, you have to defeat random Super Starmen. But that's for later...
Scaraba and the Pyramid...
Now go back to the museum in Summers and go upstairs. Give the guy the ruby that Poo has, then go inside the room. Two guys will attack you. Use Freeze and it will be easy. Read the hieroglyphics and leave the building for the port town to the east. One of the guys will take you down to Scaraba, where you will have to go to the Pyramid. Dance in front of the pyramid and get in. Find your way through the pyramid yourself, since I don't remember. ^_^;; Anyway, you should have found the Hawk Eye while you were in there. When you arrive on the other side, the Star Master will take Poo away for training. Head to your left and some native guy will give you a key to get into Brick Road, the Dungeon Man, to the northwest. He really is a dungeon master now, and you have to go inside him. Explore his insides (I know, that sounds weird) and find his head on the 4th floor. He'll talk to you and then you can head out. Then he will follow you as an extra player. You can't control him though (He's like Bubble Monkey.) After a while, he will get stuck inbetween some trees and won't be able to move anymore. When you reach the water, another native will tell you that you can't cross without a water vehicle. Go back to the Dungeon man and go through him again, except this time when you get to the top, you must go down a different hole. You will land in a place with lots of vehicles. Go to the submarine and Jeff will fix it. Then you will be able to cross the waters to the Deep Darkness.
Deep Darkness...
You will notice that there is a lot of darkness in this area. Go talk to the monkeys and then head to the darkness. Use the Hawk Eye and the entire map will light up. Go through the swamp, until you find a red version of Master Belch. Now he is Master Puke, and you have to defeat him again. I'm not sure if the Fly Honey will work, but it doesn't matter. All you need is one Multi Bottle Rocket and then Poo will come flying in with his new power PSI Starstorm a and Master Puke is dead. Keep going into that trail and you will find a cave. Inside the cave is the Tenda Tribe.
Tendas and their shyness problem...
The Tenda tribe is VERY shy. None of them will say much. You need to talk to the elder. He will tell you that there is book that will help them overcome their shyness, but he doesn't know where. Head out of the village and Apple Kid will call you. But he will be interrupted, and you will have to head to Winters.
The Stonehenge base...
Head to Winters and go to the lab. There, the mouse will give you the Eraser Eraser machine. Then head to Stonehenge. In the middle, you will notice a piece of brown dirt. That is the entrance to the base. Go inside and eraser the eraser statue. Then explore the caves. When you get to the actual base, fight all the Starman Supers you see. Why? Because one of them will have a Sword of Kings. It is the ONLY weapon that Poo can use, and has great power. You can only get it here, so if you want it, don't fight the boss untill you have the sword. Once you get to a room where all your friends are being held prisoner, HEAL! This boss is VERY tough, unless you are at level 50 or higher. If you are at level 50, then don't worry about it. But heal anyway. When fighting the boss... DO NOT USE PSI!!! The boss has a psychic shield which will reflect any PSI attacks back at you. I learned this the hard way... Anyway, after you defeat him, go back into the room with all the prisoners and talk to Apple Kid. He will tell you that the book is at the Onett Library.
Overcoming Shyness...
Go to Onett and find the book in the library. After that, you can go back to the village and give the elder the book. Then everyone will be happy and they will talk to you. The store here is very odd, since you need to get Horns of Life in order to buy anything. Get about... I think 9 horns of life in Saturn Valley, then return here. Get the stuff, save, heal, yada yada yada. Then talk to the guy near the big stone. He will lift up the stone and you will be able to go to the next Sanctuary Spot.
Lumine Hall...
When you go down, there will be a big, black rock that looks like it has a face. Talk to it. It will tell you about another Tenda Tribe and another rock that's been saying something. Explore this cave BEFORE you defeat the boss, because once you defeat the boss you'll have to keep going, unless you want to get lost. Anyway, here is Jeff's greatest weapon, if you can find it. It is the Gaia Beam, and few people have found it. I haven't even found it yet! It is in this area, by defeating random Uncontrollable Spheres and using Spy command. Then you will receive a Broken Parabolic, or a Broken Antenna. Fix this and you've got the Gaia Beam! Or you can settle for the Baddest Beam which is a fixed Broken Harmonica. Anyway, explore this area thouroughly, since there is another one of Poo's items in here. I think it's the Cloak of Kings, but I'm not sure. Once you defeat the boss, go drop into the hole behind him. You will fall into Lumine Hall, then you must fall into another hole in order to get to the Lost Underworld.
The Lost Underworld...
This is the Lost Underworld, where you become incredibly small. There are giant moons and monsters ready to eat you, but I'm pretty sure that at your level, it should be a snap. Find the other Tenda Tribe and talk to the rock. The rock will tell you about the prophesy of the three boys and one girl defeating the ultimate evil, blah blah blah. Buy some supplies and go southwest for your last Sanctuary Spot, Lava Springs.
Lava Springs...
This is just another batch of caves that you have to go through. The boss has two parts to it. First is a Fire Pup (or something like that.) Then there is a Diamond Dog. Use your most powerful Freeze PSI for Poo and Paula, and your highest PSI Attack for Ness. Jeff should use the Heavy Bazooka if you have it, or just attack. Use Jeff as your healer, since the others will be busy attacking. Once you defeat the boss and get the last Sanctuary Spot, you get to listen to the whole song. But then something strange happens...
Magicant
You wake up in your jammies again. You will be in a strange place. Talk to people and explore. No one is an enemy until you get to a part where the Star Master stands and the road is a different color. It's hard to explain, but if I get a picture of it I will put it here. Remember that you can always E-mail me if you need further help. Anyway, get to the center of your mind, and attack the boss there. It is VERY strong, surrounded by a whole bunch of Krakens that you have to get past before you can actually get to the boss. I hope you bought a lot of Magic Puddings, because you'll need them for this fight. Save your PSI for the main boss, because at your current level, you should be able to defeat the Krakens without having to go all out. Once you defeat the boss, you will black out and receive a LOT of experience points. You will also learn PSI Teleport b! Yeah!
The Phase Distorter and the Meteorite...
You will wake up at the Lava Springs. Paula, Poo and Jeff will talk a whole bunch, then you will be teleported to Saturn Valley. There, the Mr. Saturns have helped Apple Kid and Dr. Andonuts build a Phase Distorter. But for it to work, he needs a piece of meteorite. So now you have to go back to Onett. When you teleport back, the place is deserted. Go to your house and your mother will explain what happened. I now suggest that you level up here until you are at level 90 or higher. Why? Because I think that it would be safe. Besides, before you actually get to the main boss, there are lots of little bad guys to be faught, and you want to get through them with as little damage to yourself as possible. There is no way to heal besides eating food and using your PSI on the way to the main boss, so GET TO LEVEL 90! Or you can ignore my advice and get killed. It's up to you. Anyways, get to the meteorite and collect a piece of it. Then teleport to Saturn Valley. Dr. Andonuts will install it, and you will be transported to a strange place.
Prepare for the worst...
Walk around in this strange place. Look at the remains of the old Phase Distorter and you will find a Horn of Life. Talk to the Mr. Saturn that is here, then walk around. Eventually, another Phase Distorter will appear. Apple Kid and Dr. Andonuts will explain some stuff to you about being the chosen one and that the evil you must defeat is named Gigyas. Then you have the choice of going to the past to defeat Gigyas or not. If no, then you are probably going to be walking around in this place forever. So pick Yes so you can continue with the game. Some more stuff will happen and you will be transformed into robots. You will be then transported to the past, where you can defeat the evil before it gets too strong.
The Final Battle...
The rest of this is simple. Find your way to Gigyas' chamber. There, you will find that Pokey has been leading Gigyas this whole time. Then the fight begins. Don't attack Gigyas, since attacking him will cause damage to you or one of your team members. This is the first stage. After a while, Pokey will back off and Gigyas will attack you. This is the second stage. Attack this Gigyas with normal attacks and PSI. Then the third stage, where Gigyas will go crazy. Just "Pray" that you will win, and you will. That's all people! See ya!
