Being the first unofficial news agency of Taera, we'd like to congratulate
ourselves on the launch of this, the Taeran Globe News (TGN), and thank
our impressive staff of one. =P The reason for this is that SNL (Shareplay
Newsletter) on Panumbra's homepage hasn't been updated in over a
year. It's nobody's fault, but our own. That's right. We have no one to
blame but ourselves for not clicking banners and making some revenue for
shareplay. So get out there during the down time, and get click happy.
Granted, I've only seen two different ads pop up, though I'm somewhat
new myself, but I still click on them. Now lets get to some real news.
World news reports coming in to me from, well, all over the world, have
nothing new to say. Really they don't. All the information that I have
received is more than a few weeks old. You'd think that after 5000 years
of losing civilization as most knew it, someone would reinvent a way of
getting information around much faster without having to hire someone
to teleport it.
Across the continent today, torrential rains and snow storms ravaged
much of the countryside. This is the exact opposite of the dry spell
encountered only weeks ago. Some one needs to tell the gods to stop
with the extremes here. Some one please tell them. I would do it, but I'm
afraid of being on the receiving end of a giant smiting. Tra'an'kkque and
Kk'ard'kk Kk'soro'kro'lakk are seeking an exorcist for their little girl Suzie.
She was recently seen healing bugs and insects alike instead of eating
them. Our heart's go out to this distraught family. We hope they find
someone who can help.
In local news, as we all know, the Earth Lords are still invading. A group
of brave adventurer's beat them into submission recently, but because
they had received previous recognition for great deeds, did not receive
any of the higher prizes. It is this reporter's belief that the real reason
behind this is do to mud slides east of Montparsa which caused a bottle
neck for both carriages and carts. Weary travelers were forced to enlist
the aid of single passenger horses to help pull their goods past the
hazard, which, most likely, would have caused this hardy group to miss
airing their victory at the house of accomplishments, where ever that is.
In other local news, Human Miner 53220 is holding a burial service for his
pet Cave Snake 48721. Anyone who would like to come is welcome to
attend. No one to my knowledge has stepped up to claim ownership of a
late 5012's model, 4 passenger cart, left blocking the entrance to the
Montparsa Mines. Authorities would really like you to move it so that
excavation of the mine entrance can begin. A landslide has blocked the
entrance and engineers estimate that it could be weeks, or months,
before they can reopen the mines. Also, though unconfirmed, guilds from
all across the globe are actively seeking experienced adventurers. If you
fit this description, see your local recruiter immediately. Special
conditions apply. On a side note, this reporter would also like to add that
he is lonely and would like to add some staff members to the ranks. If
you are in a position of receiving information, please contact me at a
