26th May 1998

Just a quick update. I finally got a new demo of Zog the Hunter finished!! It contains loads of nifty features, including fully working status and help screens, all-new monsters, fully animated inventory item viewing, etc. Click here to get it! 25th May 1998

I had no internet access for the weekend, but now I'm back, with a new CHEAP internet service provider. Tip #3 is up, by Stargazer; check it out now! The message board is going well, lots of traffic. Go there for latest news and stuff. Don't forget to provide me with any tips you want to see put up, plus be sure to send me requests for tips and tutorials and I'll do my best to put them up.

Jolyon Bloomfield is redoing CharCon at the moment, and the bugs some of you may have experienced are now gone. Some features in the new version include:

21st May 1998

The Megazeux mailing list is officially dead! I have been informed by Moniter, and ex-pcplus administrator, that they reinstalled linux and the mzxml was erased. So the MZXML has now been replaced with a message board that everyone can access. Click here to go the message board. Please encourage everyone to use it. If we're going to get it going, with a decent number of users, we have to use it ourselves! Make a post and people will reply.
IMPORTANT: On the Icebox main page, there is a banner for the messageboard. I'd like to encourage every megazeux user who has a homepage to link to this message board using the banner. The more people using the banner link, the more people who will use the board.

20th May 1998

I added a cool little feature for the main page. It pops up a little window and plays a mod while you're browsing my homepages. If you have the modplug plugin, it'll play the mod for you as long as you let the little window sit in the background, and if you don't want the page to download it, you just shut the window! It does need javascript though, so not everyone will be able to play it.

Well, for the first what's new entry, I'll have to say that everything is new! Included in these pages is a special page that I will do my best to add to every week, The tip-of-the-week section. There is also a section for newbies, where my main aim is to get newbies out of newbie-status by explaining what it takes to make a non-newbie game. I have a guestbook, you may have noticed, so sign it! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, AD's utility writer, Jolyon Bloomfield, has released his first program, Charcon, which is a handy windows program for the manipulation of character sets. Get it on the CoolStuff page. If you want to be linked on the links page, let me know! Oh, also, if you want me to advertise your game on one of the pages I accept *well-made* banners of dimensions 400x55. I am happy to stick at least one banner on every page.
