The team follows the clues that they hope will lead them to Scrivener's boss to Frontier Station. They have hardly begun their investegation when an explosion and blowout on the Station captures their attention. Working with the prickly but effective local EF authorities, the team discovers the explosion to be the work of an anti-alien hate group. While some of the team infiltrates the group, the rest investegate and discover the culprit. With the help of the Minbari that they met last episode, the team captures the hate group (Earth First!) and learns that the group feared that aliens were conspiring to rot the Earth Alliance from within, and that the group further believed that humans were working with them to this end.

The investegation of Earth First is taken over by a different Special Investegative Team, leaving the team free to concentrate on Scrivener's boss. But the trail has gone cold: those responsable have had time to cover their tracks and go to ground while the team investegated Earth First. Stymied, the team is unsure where next to turn.
