Located just off the map, it is within one jump of the human colonies Cooke and Signet. This is one of the few planets to have native life forms, although the fauna is not far advanced. Thus it is one of the few places that can be colonized without domes. The planet is very arid, except in the lowlands, where it is jungle like. Noteable among the highland plant life is the 'Tumblecactus'. This plant has a cactus's ability to store water and barbed spines to protect itself. Even this is not enough in the harsh highland environment, and if it gets too dry, the stem breaks off and the plant can roll for miles in the high winds. With luck, the next spot is wetter than where it begain and the plant puts down strong roots.

The Drazi colonial government is very nonrestrictive, so there are many frontiersmen, smugglers, opportunists, and other ner do wells of many races. However, this does contribute to trade and the colonial income. On the downside, the colonial government allowed civilians to salvage pieces of the Ulysses, but did not break any rules of interstellar law doing so.
