These are some photos taken by my wife and I at the DragonCon 1999 that took place in Atlanta this past July.
Jedi and Sith - A rare non-combat photo of the two opposite factions.
Ladies of the Past - Two ladies in nice period dresses.
Boba Fett vs. Laura Croft - When fan favorites collide.
Boba Fett & Laura Croft Pose - A dashing duo.
Queen Amidala - Cindy spoke with her and claims that she even has the accent down.
Angel with her pet - I took this shot at a bad angle so you can only really see one wing. It was a nice costume.
BattleStar Galactica - I must admit that the shows is one of my all-time favorite Sci-Fi series. Nice uniform.
BattleStar part 2 - I thought that the first photo didn't go so well because the flash didn't go off. That was before I found out the camera could auto-sense if the flash was needed.
Imperial Trouble - They were hot on my trail, but I gave them the old 'These are not the droids you are looking for' routine.
Look free stuff! - My wife Cindy (middle) and my sister Dawn (right) are helping themselves to a few free handouts and filling out some survey that got them a free book.
Double Trouble - My wife and I let the camera fall into father-in-law's hands and you can see the spooky results.
Jar Jar Fantasy - My wife poses next to the controversial Mr. Binks.
Father and daughters - My wife with her father, notice also the small form of my daughter strapped helplessly to the front of my wife.
Out to eat - We stopped by the All-Star cafe for lunch, and Cindy and Papa look glad to be out of the hot Atlanta heat.
Warrior Woman - One of the nice parts of the convention was the vendors that also took the time to dress-up.
Lethal Lady - A really nice outfit that looks very well made. Don't look to close though, or you'll taste her blade.
Robin Hood and Maid Marian - A couple with some nice outfits.
Dawn 1998 - My personal favorite is someone that wasn't in the Dawn look-a-like contest this year, she was the winner from last year instead. The staff kicks-ass. Thanks to Stefan for updating me on her.
Dawn Squared - A pair of the Dawn look-a-like contestants strike a pose.
Dawn and the Gang - A group of soldiers pose with one of the Dawn look-a-like contestants.
Dawn Champion - This is the winner of the Dawn look-a-like contest. Notice the skulls in her outfit.
Dawn Shopping - My sister Dawn (not a contestant) looks over some of the various items for sale at the convention.
New Voyager Member - Dawn takes some time out to hang with the replica's of the Captain and her first mate?
Final Fantasy - Don't make a comment about his hair, or you'll feel his sword.
GWAR Guy - Popeye forearms and a long rune encrusted sword.
GWAR Guys - I can't believe we missed their performance again this year. Hopefully they'll be there in 2000.
Imperial Officer - His last photo before Lord Vader did that cool 'choke grip' thing.
Klingon Gang - They were well represented at this year's DragonCon, these are four of the dozen or so.
Nether Neither? - A nice bunch of costumes could be found at the NetherWorld booth.
Q Sighting - Look who phased in to bother Jean-Luc and sign a few autographs on the side.
Gas Man (was Help Me Out) - Thanks to Jimmy Burns for bringing me up to speed on this little known hero who helped out the Flash in one of the too few television episodes.
FBI Raid! - A real nice Scully look-a-like. My wife won't let me live down the fact I cut off the top of her hair.
Die Bug! - Forget the Orkin man, got a bug problem? Call these fine Starship Troopers.
Tank Girl Lives! - Okay, so it's not really Tank Girl, but a couple of ladies from an Atlanta bar called the Chamber, that were trying to lure DragonCon attendees into attending. Thanks goes to Stefan for enlightening me.
Caught - I found these three odd looking people hanging around the lobby of the Hyatt after midnight.
All in the Gang - Cindy, Justina (my daughter attached to my wife), Dawn, Jean (my father-in-law), and Henry (my uncle) all take a break in the lobby of the Days Inn.
