LA -- "Target Battlesite must discard 1 placed card chosen at random." [OPD] Characters who have this special: New Warriors (Nova), and White Queen (Hellions). At first, this special card seems useless, because you can't know which card you're discarding. Most often, this card forces your opponent to discard one of those precious avoids/negates under his battlesite, and also forces him to discard one unusable Activator Card later in the game. (Because the required Activator won't have a corresponding Special). So the benefit is two-fold. True it is unwise to use specials solely to prepare for future battles, but the card you force your opponent to discard will have been valuable to him and may help you win venture when you have card advantage. Although this card cannot be defended, it can be avoided BY THE BATTLESITE ONLY, or negated by a teammate or Activator. heh heh. That means you still win, because it must use one of its avoids/negates, therefore having the same effect. (except otherwise you may have gotten the OPD). There are not many cards which are useful against Battlesites, but this one is. The only point of KO'ing a Battlesite is to make your opponent discard Activator cards, and most people would do so too, if only those 30 points counted towards venture. But since they don't, those level 8 specials just don't cut it. This gives you the reward immediately, without the lost venture, so why not?
