Note: This will only work for the CD-ROM version of the game. If you have the 3.5" Disk version, you need to get the file (DSDISK11.EXE) to update your game to version 1.1.

To Install:

1. Download the file (DSCD11.EXE)
2. Copy the file to your DARK SUN: Shattered Lands game directory. (The default is C:\Darksun).
3. Type the name of the file (DSCD11.EXE) to extract the update files.
4. Type 'Patch' to update the game to version 1.1.

Corrections in version 1.1:

1. The game will no longer crash when changing regions.
2. We've corrected some problems which happened when using 2 sound cards.
3. We've corrected the 'OEInsert New Object' crash.
4. The 'Exit to DOS' routine has been cleaned up.
5. The 'Fatal Error Allocating Text' crash when leading The Blind One to the next region has been corrected.
6. Dakaren will now appear when the tentacles are destroyed.
7. Tynan's instructions for his heart gem have been clarified.
8. In the Salt Oasis Region: The Druid will no longer fail to notice that party has killed all of the guards, and he will now give the party their reward.
9. In the Upper Castle Region: The Druid will now recognize when the Wyvern Master is killed.
10. Items will no longer randomly disappear from inventory.

Notes:

If there are too many items in one region, some will start to disappear. This is a game engine limitation and not a bug. If this occurs, revert to an older save game and drop some of the less important items in one of the side regions. (The Red Sand Region is a good place to dump extra items).
