SS tries to cancel and is threatened with a suit
Westgate Timeshare Resort Issues

Date of Incident: 4/4/2002

I completely agree with you, however we got sucked in to actually buying a holiday with them for a week for $1025. My family is from England and we were told that we would get free tickets to Seaworld and a discount for Universal Studios.

We later read the agreement and it said that we could cancel our agreement within 10 days which we did only to find that when we got home a month later we had been charged the $200 deposit and first installment of $48.

We phoned up to ask what had happened and they said that they had no recollection of our cancellation and if we took the matter any further they would take us to court.

So unfortunately we now have an expensive villa for a week as we gave in to them.
