Kevin: And Maniac lunges at the ladder! Jaigo had the belt in his hand and Maniac knocked the ladder down, sending Jaigo crashing to the mat shoulderfirst!
Doug: The very same injury that ended my career prematurely. Brings back alot of bad memories. Maniac sitting on his ass holding his head, Jaigo lying motionless next to him. Maniac getting up and looking at the ladder, these fans are so loud I can barely hear myself think!
Maniac picks the ladder up slowly and opens it up. A bit wobbly as he starts to climb. Blood covering his face and getting in his eyes so he has to stop and wipe them. Jaigo kips up once again suddenly and the fans boo. Maniac continues his slow ascent to the gold belt and Jaigo goes up after him. Maniac kicks down and misses, Jaigo climbs up further and nails a shot to Maniac's back. He continues to club him and the ladder shakes even more uneasily. Finally Jaigo is side by side with Maniac duking it out.
Marty: Who's going to get the advantage fans?! Jaigo blocks, and lands two quick shots to the face! Maniac almost fell and Jaigo pounding on him!
Kevin: Jaigo better watch himself. It's not going to feel to nice if he falls off that ladder again.
Elisha: Jaigo turns on that ladder so his back is facing the rungs, he looks down and now grabs Maniac by the hair. He slaps on a headlock as best he can and jumps off!
Doug: Bulldog off the ladder! Wow! Jaigo with a falling fist and he slides out for a chair, he has one and now he's climbing the buckles, he points out to the fans who are still jeering him. Jaigo with a nasty Arabian Facebuster!
Jaigo lands the move solidly and opens the dented chair up in mid ring and props the ladder back up after it was left leaning down on the ropes. Jaigo starts to climb and Maniac crawls over to him and grabs him by the ankle Jaigo turns and Maniac props himself up to one knee. Jaigo throws a punch to shake him off but Maniac blocks it and jumps up with a poke to the eye and smashes Jaigo headfirst into the ladder.
Marty: Jaigo is sent reeling into the ropes and Maniac is climbing again. Jaigo quickly after him and pulls him down a rung or two. Jaigo smashes Maniac's head into the ladder! Again! Again! Again! Four times and Jaigo throws a headlock on like last time. But he's facing the ladder.
Kevin: Guess we won't see another bulldog. Maniac comes out of nowhere and executes a side suplex off the ladder! That's one way to break that headlock.....or your neck.
Elisha: What a match! Both men giving it their all. I wonder what the World title match will bring if the card's been this good so far!
Doug: Both men are down for what seems like the millionth time. Maniac is up first, Jaigo slowly behind him. Maniac catches a lowblow! And Jaigo tackles him to the mat and lays into him a few times!
Jaigo rakes Maniac's eyes after the last punch and brings him to his feet. Maniac throws an elbow to his gut and follows up with a poke to the eye. With Jaigo temporarily blinded, Maniac takes the advantage to hit a piledriver. And begin his climb up the wobbly ladder.
Marty: And I think this is all said and done! Jaigo layed out and Maniac is climbing twelve feet into the air to retrieve that Atlantic title belt! Hold on, Jaigo is moving again! Damn this young man is resilant!
Kevin: I'll give him credit. I agree with you completely Marty. This guy is a damn good wrestler, damn good. Despite that name.
Doug: I like it.
Elisha: Jaigo kicks the ladder from a one knee position and Maniac almost fell off! He's way up there too! Jaigo on both feet and kicks it again! Now he's climbing. Maniac with solid footing again and he's continuing as well. Who's going to make it?!
Maniac reaches the top and the fans go crazy. He tries to get the belt off the hook, but before he can Jaigo grabs him by the foot and pulls him down a rung and climbs up to meet him at eye level. They start exchanging punches again and Jaigo almost falls off, only to come back with the second handful of salt of the night. As Maniac clutches his face Jaigo puts him in position and executes the Seige off the ladder. The fans are silent as Maniac is left motionless in the middle of the ring and Jaigo climbs up, finally getting his belt back and winning the match.
Craig Conners: BEW fans, I give you the winner. And still BEW Atlantic champion, Jaigo!
Marty: What a fantastic matchup! And Jaigo managed to get his finisher, the Seige, in there to win it and retain his title!
Kevin: Maniac isn't to happy about it and he's sneaking back into the ring with a chair. Jaigo so out of it he has his face in that top buckle with the belt over his shoulder. Maniac rears back, and with a huge swing nails Jaigo in the back! And another to the top of the head and Maniac is stomping him! Now choking him with the edge of that chair Jaigo is kicking in pain!
Doug: Maniac lets up at last, but grabs the belt. He's scurrying out of here and the ref is checking the bloody and beaten Jaigo.
The split screen shows Maniac running through the back, and the ref with a medical official checking on Jaigo. The camera follows Maniac to the parking lot where there is a waiting white limo. He hops into the backseat with the belt and speeds off just as Jaigo angrily gets to his feet. The fans in the arena are cheering and he looks on in disgust. Finally he runs to the back and through the curtains.
Marty: Maniac stole his belt folks. I think that was a bit uncalled for. After such a classic matchup he had to go and do that.
Elisha: Hey Marty, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Kevin: I don't care really. The match I'm waiting for is the World title match. If it can beat this last match we had then we have one of the most classic battles in history ahead of us.
Doug: Ah Kev you took the words right out of my mouth.
Marty: Well guys, before we get to that we have to watch the U.S. title match between Drown, and the returning Kirt Kinson. Which should be interesting to say the least. Trevor Rowe will be out here for that match. But before that, let's take a look at a brief promo.
The scene jumps back suddenly some twenty-odd years. To another PPV, another place, another time. Two combatants battle it out in the middle of the ring…The original Charm and his Bane. The match still in it's early stages is suddenly fast forwarded to the end…to that eventful moment that started it all…
Bane in a rage grabs her up and…
The scene fades away into darkness right before the infamous event takes place. Suddenly a very small, female voice is heard…
Female Voice: The nightmare that you believed in for so long…The nightmare that drove that sick, demented, feeble freak over the edge…The nightmare that turned you into the lacky of a nothing…into Shawn Twilight…Never happened.
The scene returns to the sold out Providence Civic Center arena where thousands upon thousands of fans await anxiously the continuation of the BEW's Slugfest '99. The camera moves back over to our announcers who seem just a bit bewildered by that latest segment.
Elisha: Well I don't know what that was all about.
Trevor Rowe: You'd think the BEW wouldn't let that kind of footage on air. Many fans out there know what that footage was, and it's distasteful to even mention it. That's history…old and gone.
Kevin: I thought it was interesting actually.
Elisha: Alright...well hmm. Let's just go ahead and move along to our next match-up. Which was a BEW United States title match, but after new Vice President Eskridge's recent comments on Blitz I'm not so sure anymore…
Trevor: Well as I understand this will be Drown's last title defense as the BEW U.S. champion. After tonight it's been vacated.
Doug: Too bad for Drown. Well let's go to Conners for the next match up.
The camera switches away from the two announcers to the ring to find Craig Conners awaiting in the middle, mic in hand.
Craig Conners: Ladies and Gentlemen! This next match up is for the BEW United States Title!!…
There is a slight rise in crowd volume.
Craig Conners: This match-up is scheduled for one pinfall with a sixty-minute time limit! Coming to the ring first…
"The Joker" by The Steve Miller Band starts up and the fans begin to boo wildly.
Craig Conners: …The challenger from Tampa Bay, Florida…Weighing in at 225-pounds and standing at 6-feet 4-inches! He is the self-proclaimed master of the fisherman suplex! KIRT 'THE SHOOTER' KIIIIIIIIIIIINSON!!
The boos intensify as Kinson walks out into the arena. The well tanned, muscular, Kinson adjust his always present sunglasses and smiles at the crowd. He stretches, rotates his head one or two times and starts to walk down towards ringside. As he passes a group of fans they reach out, he dodges all their hands except one. A young lady grabs onto his black tights, and starts to pull on them. He quickly strikes her hand away from him, and he can be seen mouthing the words "White trash whore". He glares at her for a moment and then continues on putting that false smile back on his face. He reaches ringside, walks up the steel steps, and passing between the top and middle ropes enters the ring. He walks by Conners giving him a look of disdain and goes over to lean against the far turnbuckle. Kinson's music dies out, Conner prepares to announce the next participant in the match as "Shame" strikes up over the P.A.…The fans erupt.
Elisha: WHOA listen to these fans!
Craig Conners: And his opponent being lead to the ring by his manager Shawn Twilight. Hailing from Charleston, North Carolina…Weighing in at a slender 180-pounds, and standing at a near average 5-feet and 8-inches! He is the current BEW United States Champion! DROOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!
The arena goes nuts as Drown comes stumbling out into the arena. The belt down around his ankles he bends over, pulls it back up to his waist, and holding onto the belt with one hand waves to the crowd with his other, a huge cheesy grin on his well-tanned face. With a bounce to his step, that sends his braids bouncing atop his head, he starts his way down to ringside. Wearing his unusual garb of tight fitting cargo pants, and a wool tank top with a wide undershirt upon his small scrawny body, he's as humorous looking as ever…As he gets about half-way to the ring Twilight emerges into the arena. Wearing his black framed Oakley's he doesn't seem to really be all that involved with what's going on around him. Instead he seems to be preoccupied with his own thoughts. As he slowly begins to walk down to ringside Drown stops, and throwing both hands into the air, allowing his belt to drop back down around his ankles, begins to jump up and down. He stops his celebration and takes a step…only to fall face first into the ringside mats. The arena erupts into laughter. He quickly flips around, kicks the belt off his feet, grabs it and throws it at the time keeper. He then starts to walk away from the ring mouthing the words "I quit." As he walks past Twilight, Twilight reaches out, grabs Drown by one of his big ears, and escorts him back to and into the ring. Drown rolls in the ring looking a bit hurt and sheepishly at Twilight. Twilight doesn't seem to notice as Drown gets dropped from behind by a massive clothesline from Kinson.
Trevor: And it looks like we're underway. Craig clearing the ring real fast, and um, Twilight's looking a bit preoccupied…think it has anything to do with that last segment Elisha?
Elisha: Not sure Trev…OH! Kinson just knocked the wind out of Drown with a gut wrench!
Kevin: Nice solid move from Kinson there. Drown's laid out.
Kinson continues the attack aggressively. He picks Drown back up and drops him with a DDT. Kinson stands again, and coming off the ropes drives an elbow into the back of Drown's head. He sits there beside Drown for a moment smiling at the crowd. He stands up slowly yanking an already dazed Drown up by his nappy braids. He throws Drown into the ropes and hits a back body drop that sends Drown into a 360 landing him flat on his face. Kinson slowly turns around to face the downed Drown and kicks him hard in the side of the face.
Trevor: Oh my…Drown is just being taken apart here! This match won't last to much longer if Drown doesn't put up some sort of defense.
Doug: Yeah any kind of defense would be good. Kinson now standing Drown up, and…whips him into the turnbuckle. OH Drown hit hard!
As Drown hits the turnbuckle Kinson turns around to the crowd and Twilight signaling for the "Final Flex". As he does this Drown comes stumbling backwards from the turnbuckle and runs into Kinson's back sending Kinson stumbling forward to the ropes by Twilight. Drown then oblivious to his surroundings grabs the nearby ref up in a waltz. Kinson, a look of outrage on his face, turns back to confront Drown. As he does Twilight picks up the U.S. title from the time keeper's table, jumps up on the apron, and clocks Kinson in the back of the head with it. Kinson spins and falls on his back unconscious. Twilight hops down off the apron and throws the belt back on the time keeper's table. He then turns and walks away from the ring. In the meantime Drown finishes his waltz with the ref and stops next to the fallen Kinson. He takes a bow, kisses the ref's hand, and falls atop of Kinson. The ref stands there confused for a moment and then drops to make the count…

The fans erupt as "Shame" starts up.…
Elisha: Wha…what just happened here?
Trevor: Um, I think Drown just won the U.S. title…only to lose it…I think. Was that a waltz?
Kevin: Lucky for him Twilight was there. But what the hell, the belt is only going to be vacated.
Elisha: I don't know about that, but referee McGwire quickly places the belt on top of an exhausted Drown and high tails it out of the ring…I have no idea how that got pulled off. Can…can we run a promo while we get this sorted out?
Trevor: I can see the crew out here setting everything up already. Those guys are some workers aren't they? It was fun to be out here, but I'm going to the back to watch the rest of this card. Fans you can catch me on the hotline tonight with all the latest news from the lockerooms. Good night.
Doug: Later Trev.
The scene shifts to a dark screen as the roar of the crowd dies out. Then a fire suddenly erupts on the screen and a voice is heard…
Voice: They've conquered whole federations…They have over a hundred titles to their name…Their name is recognized worldwide…You'd think after all that we could give them a night... Hitting the East Coast March 20th, 1999...
Suddenly chrome, three-dimensional, words burst through the fire that read…
Another promo, for the main event flies by, then the shot comes up inside the pitch-black arena. "Blitzkrieg" by Metallica pumping through the arena riling everybody up to their feet. Suddenly an explosion goes off and the ominous cage and scaffold above are being illuminated. The World title belt is already in place a good 40 plus feet in the air. Fireworks shoot off from the ringposts and do crisscross patterns at the entryway as Craig Conners waits in the ring. The fans are going crazy already.
