Hey, it's Harvest Moon

Welcome to my section about Harvest Moon. I put this up mostly because I haven't found any other place with info for the game.

Ah yes Harvest Moon, an interesting and unique game from Natsume for the Super Nintendo. Now I don't know how you would classify this game scince there is nothing else like it. The main objective of this game is to get your little farmer guy as happy as possible. I still haven't come close so I can't give you much help there. In this game there is a lot to do. You could just farm all the time but that's not much fun, so you could raise livestock or go to town, explore the mountian or even go fishing. That's not all you can even court some of the women in town and give them presents and maybe even get married. Now for some tips and hints for Harvest Moon.

"What? The Weather Channel again?"

  • Sometimes when selling livestock a wandering peddler will show up. He will give you a power berry for a chicken and magic beans for a cow.

  • With the magic beans go to the mountian summit on a clear day and use it, then watch what happens.

  • When you see the dwarf ( I think they look like gremlins or something) outside of your house, give him a mushroom.

  • You cannot go to the mountian summit when it is raining or snowing.

  • If you plant anything on a rainy day you still have to water it.

  • If you want to make a lot of cash, always put an egg in the incubator when it is empty.( Remember that you can only put in one at a time.) Then when it matures sell it to the livestock dealer for 500g.

  • Nina is the only person who will not be offended by reciveing a poison mushroom.

  • Some of the women's taste for gifts will change once you marry them.

  • You can calm down a paranoid cow by talking to it, sometimes.

  • It also seems that Anne doesn't complain when you come home late. ( Thanks to Scott for this one.)

There's nothing like a cold shower in the morning, refreshing!

    The 10 power berries

  • Break the chicken statue with the hammer.
  • After the earthquake bust up the stump near the spring and jump in the hole.
  • Win one from the egg hunt.
  • Plant the seed of the snow flower on the mountian summit.
  • Trade a chicken to the traveling hawker.
  • Throw a fish back in the pond.
  • Break up 84 stumps.
  • Plow one up.
  • Plow up another one.
  • Bring a fish to the harvest festival.

!! ATTENTION !! I have found a bug in this game that will cause your SNES to frezee up. It happens when you you put a chicken in the livestock bin then go to the livestock dealer an do: buy a cow and sell a chicken. Then when you return to your farm, the game will frezee up.

Here's another one, I don't know exactly how it happens or what you have to do to make it happen, all I know is for a short while you will walk around with a chicken on your head, you have to be holding one for this to happen. You also will have your hands free to use tools but you can't pick up stuff. After a while the chicken will disappear and roam around your ranch invisible. If you can find it again pick it up and it'll reappear.

And yet another one, but this one is more of a secret code. It works when your little farmer dude goes to sleep for the night and the screen fades to black. Press the "Start, Select, L and R" at the same time and when you wake up, the game will be over and you can see the ending.
Thanks go out to Anthony B. for this one.

If I find any other bugs I'll put them here, or if you know of any bugs for this game or any other at this site e-mail me and I might put it in here.
