SKELETON WARRIORS
Skeleton Warriors are the basic troopmen of the Undead I find them useful at times but I only use them to slow the opponents units down since they don't break , but there useless for anything else. You may try to make them better by adding a whole lot of goddies but that is just a waste of points. Yes they might be able to have a magic standered but it would be better to do that with Skeleton Horsemen.

SKELETON HORSEMEN
These guys are very usefull , they can be very nasty if you combine them with the right weapons and Magic standered.
For playing elves and other races with toughness three for there units ,its a very nasty combination when you give skeleton horsemen a 4+a.s.,with two hand weapons,with the magic standered
THE DOOMRIDER BANNER with alows you to automaticly hit on the charge. Give the leader of the unit a powerstone and you have one nasty unit , that have a 4+save,10 automatic hits at strength three (strenght four with the Power Stone)with a unit of 5 skeleton horsemen.Only for a few well spent points of 193 points and trust me this unit will do some nasty damage.
Just remeber that the Doomrider Banner only affects skeleton Horsemen not the learders you put in the unit, and that the banner only works on your charge.If you are playing chaos or high toughness armys you may want to take lances and give the leader the Battle stone.It may be a little more expensive and it will put you over two victory points to three but its worth it getting
10 strenght 5 automatic hits on the charge , when you facing a powerful army like Chaos.

GHOULS
Ghouls are one of the better cheaper units of the undead, with there two attacks , toughness 4 and the ability to march and all only for 8 points they are a very good deal. There one down fall is that they are not allowed to wear armour ,but that dosen't
matter since of there high toughness is a good enough protecttion . A very good Idea is to use a lord in there unit and giving him the power stone so the unit may have strength 4 also.
If you are very worried about there low leadership it is a very
good idea to put a battle standerd in the unit and give him the banner of definace which will double there rank bounus . This actually works out very well since the banner says that they can't presue and there rules say they can't anyway. Ghouls are usefull versus all armys except for chaos and bretonnia.

WIGHTS
Wights are very essential when playing almost all armies since it only costs 2 extra points to make them mounted on skeleton Steeds. That is very helpful since it doubles there movement , and gives them +1 armour save. Wight Knights are very helpful when fighting armys with multi wound units like chaos since they
cause d3 wounds.There one weakness is that they have nasty break rules , when the fail there break test they are destoryed and with there high point cost they can decide a game with there victory points. So it is always helpful to get a wight lord leading them with the Crown of Command and the Battlestone to give them that extra attack or instead of the battlestone give him the cursed book ( good for when playing elven armys, to help them in the combat results.It is always a good Idea to give the wight unit spears with heavy armour and shields . So they will have a 3+ armour save and +1 strength on the charge so they have strenght 4 and 2 attacks . If you want you can Include a battle standerd with the banner of might +1 to hit ( always helpful when playing elves),Hell banner (helpful vs medium to low leader ship armys , like humans and Orcsand Goblins and Skaven),or standered of shielding +1 armour save( helpful vs Chaos so they won't totally kill you armour save).

MUMMIES
Mummies are the most powerfull unit in the Undead army ,they are very helpful for taking on those powerful units . Every time I use mummies I always give them double handed weapons. You might think that D.H. weapons are just a waste of points but with there slow movement and low initative they will never stike first and anyways my mummuies never die firts round with there toughness 5 and 4 wounds it would be a big fluke if they did. You should always have a mummy tomb king leading you unit of mummies and it is always a good Idea to give him the Amulet of fire for when playing armys which have fire spells ( like high magic users)since they take double wounds from fire. If you would like you could also give him the battle stone to give the mummies 3 attacks but if you have another unit that need it give it to them.I find it helpful to give a mummy tomb king the Dragon blade( if I can spare the points) to give him double the amount of hits that he hits. One of the best things that I love about mummies is that they have regular size bases not monster bases like Dragon orges, Rat ogres and Ogres. So when ever I fight them I can always get to mummies for every Ogre , now that is sweet.
Other advantage of that is that mummies cost only 8 bucks for two not 20 bucks for one like dragon orges.One of the most frustrating things about mummies is there slow movement of 3 and they are not alowed to march !!!! so it is a must to take the Vanhel's Danse Macabre as one of your spells so the can go an extra 6 inches if you sucesfully cast it.So just remeber to give the mummies D.H weapons so they can have strength 6 and will make all armour saves -3 so the elves armour will be obsolete when fighting mummies with D.H weapons.

CARRION
Carrion are the fastest and helpful units in the Undead army ,since they can fly. Carrion are very helpful when you play armys which have powerful warmachines like skaven,empire,dwarfs,and chaos dwarfs.They can go up and take out the warmachies in a matter of a turn,and maybe move a losing game into a winning battle for the Undead. They can also be helpful for taking out those weaker units like gobbos , some humans and the weaker units of the elves. But never charge elven archers they will pick you out of the sky unless you really need the points. But for those weak units that there only job is to get the flank or to charge from the rear , to get the +1 or +2 combat result. They are important to take car of them with there 3 attacks and the special rule for extra attacks.There only down fall is there combat rules and there high price with low strength and toughnes.

WRAITHS
Wraiths are one of the most horrible creartures of the Undead Army, with there terror and inablilty to be harm by normal weapons they are very helpful in any type of battle situation.
I find these creatures of the Undead very helpful with there Terror , Ethereal ( meaning that they can move through solid objects , and they can only be hurt by magical weapons and spells), there Immune to Psychology , And there chill attack ( which allows you to make multi wound troops -1 from there dice rolls every wound caused on them), and one last thing when fighting your enemy they have to take a Psychology test before they charge and after the combat the enemies have to take another one ,even if they win or lose combat this is very helpful since if you win combat they have to take a Psychology test and a LD ship test. The one downer is that they have that dame combat results rule, being that if they flee they are destroyed , and the only other bad thing is that there 75 points per wraith ( thats what really kills you when you add up the points) one unit of 5 wraiths is 375 points ,4 victory points
, now that really makes you have to use them wisely and not just put them up against any ordiary unit they should be on a special misson to take out one specific target. For when I use wraiths in battle I will always take a wight lord with them so they can have some good ld so I don't have to be that worried that they would break.For magic items for the Wight I would give him the cursed book that will make the enemy hit on a -1 to there to hit dice roll.For his second item i would give him the amulet of fire or if I can spare the points The Talisman of Obsidian to have protection against spells. I don't personally prefer wraiths since there high point cost but I still belive they are a awsome troop to use versus any army.One last thing they also have Double handed weapons , scythes to be exact so they have strength 5 instead of 3.
