Johnson Minstrol

A successful and aspiring young typical-suit lawyer in the state of
Macbelious who recently entered the political game. Although he seems like
just a normal laid-back person on the outset, Johnson is constantly
concentrating on his work and political standing to the point of near
obsession. When he first met his girlfriend Alexis, his life... actually
didn't change that much at all. Johnson does however deeply care for
Alexis, since, after all, she's the only girl that seems to appreciate all
his hard work and doesn't chastise him for "not paying enough attention to
her." Johnson is currently preparing to start his campaign for the
up-and-coming election for the two-hundred thirty-fourth seat in the
Macbelious senate. It's not a very powerful position and thus there won't
be much publicity in the campaign but it's a stepping stone and it's going
to give Johnson a chance to oust his most hated rival, Linda.

Alexis Lavencroft

A not-so-successful and not-so-aspiring young beautiful blonde lawyer who
made it through law school by copying off of her many boyfriends (Johnson
being one of them). Alexis is a cunning but extremely curious young gal who
is bored with Macbelious and has an immense interest in anything out of the
ordinary. This curiosity also applies to men. She's currently hoping to
become some sort of female criminal mastermind with a kitchen cabinet of
smart bishonens who love her and do her bidding (or something along those
lines). Unfortunately, she came across a really big hurdle in her plans
when she found that guys also don't like it when you're cheating behind
their backs. Alexis finally sorta hit the jackpot when she met Johnson,
which, fortunately for her, was early in her makeshift career. Johnson was
only semi-handsome, but he was successful, rich, and most importantly, was
too engrossed in his work to take note or offense at some of Alexis' quirky
habits.

Mercutio Damerch

Before Johnson entered the game of politics, Mercutio was one of his primary
employers. Mercutio is an extremely rich merchant who has almost
monopolized the modulation orb market. Most merchants only need a mediocre
legal aid to get by in Macbelious, but modulation orbs, due to their
side-effects of ill health and the fact that they are ambiguous with their
magic based properties, are a special exception and are bounded by even more
laws than many other trade items. Unlike most other things, these laws are
some of the few that are strictly enforced. Thus, Damerch has had to spend
a lot of money on many of the most skilled lawyers in order to deal with
constant lawsuits and other legal mumbo jumbo. Mercutio is lobbying behind
Johnson and several other candidates for other senate positions hoping to
get some of the modulation orb trading restrictions eased up.

Linda Sairgas

Johnson's rival ever since a debating skirmish way back at school. Linda
and Johnson rarely ever see each other in person but they are constantly
trying to anticipate each other's moves. Linda is currently getting ready
to campaign in the elections for the two-hundred thirty-fourth seat of the
senate as Johnson's opposition. Linda's even more practical and obsessed
with her political standing and power than Johnson is, as well as a bit more
cunning.

Olmen Murray

The current holder of the two-hundredth and thirty fourth seat in the
Macbelious senate. A grumpy old man who doesn't plan to run for
re-election.

Vespars mercenaries stationed in Macbelious

"d00d!!! r j00 st3pp1nG?!? STFU oR d1vIn3 w1Nd w1lL r0xx0r ur s0rry
ass!!!" ~Mastah Biznatch, tank mage of the Vespar versatality unit, Divine
Wind

Vespars in Macbelious are a combination of specialists and military for both
physical and legal security that don't mind the culture of the city. As in
the case of Mastah, some Vespars are being punished by being stationed there
simply because the other Vespars found him annoying at times.

Unit Name: Divine Wind

Size: Around 10

Blood Born: Around 20% of the unit are bloodborn

Specialties: General Versatality Group (Not one of the best. Those are
called in in times of crisis since like you said, Vespar are expensive:P)

Payment: Well, not bottom of the barrel but definately not the top either.
Probably lower tier. Discount for dragging away Mastah from the other
Vespars. :P

Commitedness: Ah, I wish I could say Yes which would lead to some fun
possible tragedy or maybe other plotlines later on, but given the members, I
don't see how they could fully commit themselves, so I'll have to go with
no. Course, not like this is a top notch unit so...

Levian Alacio: The leader of the current unit stationed in Macbelious,
Levian's job is to make sure that any circumstances which might be
disastrous reach the rest of the Vespars and other Macbelious military
allies ASAP should the need arise, as well as using her unit, other
mercenaries and Vespars in the city, and the Macbelious militia (a bunch of
lawyers who know nothing about fighting cept that you take that long stick
you're holding, point it at those bad people, pull the trigger, then hope
those bad people die) to hold off any attackers long enough for help to
arrive. Levian is a diviner, which helps with legal issues that come up.
Cool, calm, yourtypical leader, though she does space out pretty often.
Okay, she spaces out VERY often.

Malina Svenwell: Malina spent more time dancing nights away at parties and
completely failed out of lawyer school from Freshman year. She then left
Macbelious and somehow ended up training as a Vespar. A dancer who also
dabbles in a little water magic, she generally exists to provide
ressurections for Mastah (And no, she does not know how it works, just that
it does), though in the case of anyone daring to resort to
physical violence in Macbelious (generally extremely rare), she acts as
hypnotic security.

Kyle Eggward: A mellow bard who provides entertainment for his fellow
Vespars (particularly Tommy, who likes his "pretty singing."). His most
useful ability is his magic songs to enhance his comrades during battles,
though other abilities include the ability to spread and expand restorative
herbs among his allies, and to expertly hide himself (or as Levian puts it,
"Cowardly screech then run away like a chicken with its noodle cut off.").
Chronicles the exploits of whichever Vespar unit he's in through song, much
to that unit's dismay (cept, once again, Tommy)

Tom Tomas: A bloodborn berserker who's reasonably large (not that large, though),
extremely agile, and extremely strong. Called Tommy by his friends, he's
actually really intelligent though he acts like an animal at certain times.
Supposedly this is due to a traumatization he experienced as a child.

Mastah Biznatch: A quickened bloodborn tank mage. ......oh, very well. Here's some more
info. :P Considered by some to be insane, Mastah's "history" as reported
by himself is as follows: "I @m L33t!!!" More prodding by his fellow
Vespars who managed to decipher his evil warez speak found out that he was a
person who bought a "massively multiplayer online roleplaying game" (exactly
what that is, no one knows) made by a company called Endless Worlds Online
(EWO). He then called everyone else "d@mN RP3rS" and said "WTF, tH1z 1s
jUs7 @ g@m3, d00d!!! j00 t@k3 iT t00 s3ri0us1i." and that was the most
everyone could get out of him. Supposedly, he joined the Vespars so he
could get "pH@t l00t." However, he truly does care for his fellow Vespars
(or maybe he's smart enough to realize that he won't get his Ph@t l00t if
he's uncooperative with his own guild, though it's actually a combination of
both), but ONLY his fellow Vespars. Only Vespars get treated nicely by him.
Everyone else he'll screw over in a heartbeat just for the fun of it if he
can get away with it. After all, it's just a game. An interesting note is
that he can't seem to permanantly die. No one can explain why, and Mastah
babbling about how they need to read the instruction manual doesn't help.
