ROUND NINE OF 2001 SEASON MATCH REPORT Unley Oval - 26th May 2001 By Chris Hisee |
Sturt has scored it's second win of the season against a
dismal Glenelg outfit by 56 points. The first half was a struggle for the Blues
with neither side gaining a significant advantage but in the second half the
Double Blues took command thanks to great consistent defence from Seamus
Maloney and Dean Woosnam. Glenelg could only manage 5 goals for the entire
match, 3 of which came from free kicks. Stephen White dominated up forward and
Adam Klun and Daniel Wicks were often dangerous at ground level. Sturt now
faces a difficult task of beating the Eagles at Woodville next weekend.
