Squires are the basic starting class, the path to being a fighter. While many of their abilities and not great, 3 stand out. Gain JP up is a faster way toward accessing the later job classes. Move +1 increases the characters move radius each turn, adding to the already high move radius of the squire. The 3rd is underrated, Accumulate. It is a great help toward gaining Jp and XP, especially when there would otherwise be nothing to do, and in addition to that, it strengthens you attack for later in the battle. Squires also have fairly strong attacks, but lack in HP because of their suprising inability to equip heavy armor. This is a good solid starting class, but once it is developed to level 2 or 3, I would recommend moving on to the knight and archer, stronger classes because of their strength and range, something which the squire lacks.
