Wizards are the early game magic users. They have fairly strong spells which are only slightly weaker than the summoner's spells. These spells however, are generally a bit quicker, making up somewhat for the slight lack of punch. Like all mages, HP is low, with the inability to equip heavy armor. Physical damage is also lacking in this class, since wizards can only equip rods. In the early game, early elemental spells, Bolt, Fire and Ice, are almost a neccesity. A big plus of this class is the use of black magic as a second ability. Giving this ability to a physical fighter comes in handy, although, they are usually lacking in MP. Monks are good choices for this ability. Stats are the base levels, giving them no special advantage in that category. Wizards tend to be a middle of the road class, with no great strengths or weaknesses. They are also less used once the game reaches Chapter 3, when summoner get more heavily implemented.
