Well, were now down to really only 4 active members. Myself, Jack, Wile, and Clutter. Seems like NJG88 has fallen on some hard times. Lately we have been flying qite a bit of Falcon with the Vietnam Addon. We are currently in a campaign, now in day 7, flying the F4G out of Sakon Nakon airbase. Our last sortie had our little group lifting off at 4:00am and making a Strike at Vinh airbase. The Triple A, Sam's and Mig 21's were plentyful.
As for EAW, the offical FM for our squad is EAW with the ECA 1.4 addon and ECA Panel. The current version of the ECA Panel is 3.6. We have all agreed to completely give up on the FM selector and with trying to fool around with all the various Flight Models for EAW that are out there. We decided that it would be better if we stick with whatever the current ECA panel is and be done with all the nonsense. There are enough squads out there flying the Panel and we can find opponents to fly against to keep up our skills. We recently flew a few sorties against the No.105 "Dinger" Squadron and had a blast. Hopefully we can do it again some time soon. I will try to again do a weekly update in our news area.

Our squad has grown some since my last news update. Jim "Wolf" Farmer is now a full fledged member. We also have added a 2 new members, Rumplehart & Cobra to our ranks, and one of our members that was previously inactive has come back into the fold. Stiener (formerly known as Scooter and then Badger)has completed his college studies and will be rejoining our outfit.
EAW News: The offical FM for our squad is EAW with the ECA 1.4 addon and ECA Panel 3.7. We in the process of conducting a non-scoring (in other words I'm not keeping track of wins and losses)battle against the No.105 "Dinger" Squadron, and the No.32 "Foxhunters" Squadron. We hope to conduct these little battles every Friday and Saturday evening starting January 18th & 19th, at 8:00pm Central - 9:00pm Eastern, in Kali Server # 85, and we plan on doing this for at least 4 weeks or so. This should get all of us some flight time against human opponents and hopefully we can all have some good old fashioned fun.
Falcon 4 News: The offical Falcon 4 FM for our squad is Falcon 4, with the 108US Patch, 108i2.exe, and F4Patch_Standard_41RP5.exe. We also use both the Vietnam Add-On, and the Desert Storm Add-On. Lately we have been flying much more in the Vietnam theater. Jim "Wolf" Farmer has created a new Campaign file for Vietnam, where the bridges are in place, and the North Vietnamese are actually moving south in the campaign towards Da Nang. Jim has setup our own squadron (the 88th Tactical Fighter Squadron) flying out of Sakhon Nakon. With the RP5 patch up and running the enemy AI is quite aggressive, and the SAM's and groundfire is quite deadly. If you dont have Jim's latest campaign file for Falcon/Vietnam please see either myself or Jim.
IL2 Sturmovik News: Right now only 3 or 4 guys in the squad even have IL2. I know for a fact that Wile, Jack, and Stiener all have IL2. Until everyone in the squad has IL2 up and running this will not be an official sim for our squadron. I know that IL2 requires a computer with quite a bit of horsepower, and I do not feel that it is fair to force any member of this squad to go out an buy a new system just to run this game on. As time goes by and our members upgrade their systems this game will probably be added to our official playlist. One interesting note on IL2, apparently in its multiplay mode you have the ability to select which squadron you wish to fly for and it's logo will be placed on the side of your aircraft for all to see. Well our squad logo and our squad name is in the game. Hopefully one day we will all be able to see it for ourselves.

IL2 Sturmovik "Forgotten Battles" is now the simulation of choice for the squad. Everyone is active now on Hyperlobby, and we usually meet there almost every evening now for some dogfight or coop action.
