"So, your thinking about becoming a Werewulfe !!!!"
As a unit, on our mission nights (Monday's from 8:00pm to 11:00pm EST)we tend to fly in tandems working on wingman tactics. We either fly against each other for practice purposes, or we fly in coop missions with other members. Occasionally we partake in joint practice sessions with other squads. Like the Wolf, we have learned to hunt in a pack. We exclusively fly, paired up with a wingman, and very rarely will you see one of us up alone. We fly ONLY the German (Axis) aircraft during our Squad Mission Nights, and we use Roger Wilco to maintain voice comm's. Our squadron does have a set roster limit (16 pilots). Past experience with on-line squadrons has taught us that the smaller the squad, the more effeciently the squadron operates. This leads to more dedicated individuals within the squadron, and all working towards a single squadron goal.
We fly EAW (European Air War) as a Gruppen on the Kali network within the WWII Simulations Channel # 181. Again we use the Roger Wilco program for voice connects, and we also use ICQ to find and locate each other while we are online.
When we do have an opening .... we actively recruit. We are looking for more than just good pilots. We have no need for a hot shot pilot, we are quite happy if the Gruppen gets the kill. We tend to look for pilots who work well within a team environment, are friendly in nature, and will get along well with the other squad members. We pride ourselves more on our "Kill to Death" ratio, and we always try to safely land our kills inorder to better the Squadron. Why you ask? Because the whole point of aerial combat in World War II, was to SURVIVE !
At least until the next mission anyway.
If you are interested in joining the NJG88 Werewulfe'z hopefully you will already have the European Air War game, and the EAW 1.2 patch. We also utilize other add-on's for EAW, such as ECA 1.4 with the ECA Panel 2.0, and the current ECA Online version 1.21. If you do, then send an Email, be sure to include, Your Real Name, Your Handle/Callsign, Your ICQ # (this is required, if you dont belong to ICQ, then do so before sending us an e-mail), and Tell us which timezone you are in, and a brief description of your past flight simulator experience (if any)to:
You will be contacted either through ICQ or E-Mail and we will try to setup a time for you to meet with us ONLINE, this will give us an opportunity to fly with you, and at the same time allow you to see how we do things as a squad on a mission. This in our opinion is the only way to tell if you will fit into our group. This also gives you time to see if this is what you really want to get involved in with your flight sim time online.
